"A wonderful weekend away"

10.0

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Wash House. We loved the quaint and beautifully decorated accommodation, and it was located in a very lovely village. Location was amazing for exploring. Owners were lovely too.

N/a- just a note that the stairs are steep and bedroom area is in eaves so not suitable to guests with certain disabilities.

"Perfect Suffolk stay"

9.0

Quiet, remote location in the suffolk countryside. Very comfortable stay, with lots of lovely personal touches.

We didnt find it the easiest to find (dont rely on google). The sloping ceilings in the bedroom and stairs were lower than we expexted (we are tall - so our bad), and considering the bathroom is downstairs off the kitchen - found it odd there were no curtains on the windows...

"Cosy short stay"

8.0

Very cute and compact accommodation. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the bedroom mezzanine feels private. It's clean and has everything I needed for a short stay, with a parking space just outside.

I had difficulty finding the property, especially driving in the dark. I had to stop at a local pub and ask them how to find it eventually. There are alot of bugs in the house (can't be helped i suppose!) and the downstairs area didnt feel very private since there aren't blinds/curtains.

"Lovely property, in great rural location, perfect for a weekend getaway. Be careful of the stairs."

7.0

Location was perfect for exploring on foot or in a car. The property was adorable, cosy and provided all the things we needed. Particularly like the local welcome gifts - a nice touch. Really enjoyed the little seating area in the garden in the evening, and spotting the resident tortoise in the garden. A suitable place for a romantic getaway.

The sink in the bathroom was a little too small (hard to change as there isn't much space) and the mirror was a little precarious above the sink to store items as just hanging on one screw. Soap in the bathroom (I think was hand gel...) had expired/smelt off. Were quite a few fresh cobwebs and spiders about which could easily have been removed before arrival (but yes, I'm also aware it's just nature). I think the sheets and towels were brand new (amazing!), but hadn't been washed prior to use. The towels shed everywhere... The stairs and ceilings were a little awkward to manage and hit heads/shoulders a lot, but hard to do anything about due to the design of the place. Maybe some more visible indicators would help? I wouldn't recommend the place for anyone that isn't agile or has mobility issues (the stairs are steep and scary), or even anyone that is tall (you will bang your head/shoulders in the bedroom...)
