Marriott Bethesda Downtown at Marriott HQ

Excellent, especially the way the staff treated me. As prompt and helpful as on my recent visit toJapan. Maybe even kinder. I found it healing.

By far the best staff I have ever experienced. I travel weekly and this team compares to the Ritz Carlton staff which is also excellent. Friendly, accommodating, just downright incredible people and had the privilege of meeting the GM and it’s no wonder— great leadership! Well done Marriot team! You will be my destination moving forward for DC visits! Thank you so much!

What an amazing experience at the Bethesda Marriott. The rooms are new, clean, and comfortable. The staff, especially Thao, was so kind and patient with my kids. We’ll definitely be staying here for all of our future visits to the area.

Cold and unwelcoming

Excellent location- walking distance to restaurants and the Metro. Easy subway ride to the Monuments and other DC sites. The bar and restaurant on the main level were very convenient, as well as offering good drinks and tasty food. ALL of the staff members were polite, helpful, attentive and clearly good at their jobs. We felt welcomed and pampered during our stay for four nights.

The only thing I did not like was the $59. charge for daily valet parking. It seemed a bit pricey.

Beautiful hotel. Upgraded to a 12th floor corner room which was lovely. The front desk staff was truly wonderful - welcoming, upbeat, friendly and efficient. Great first impression. Even the car valets always welcomed us back. But there was a big problem - the television did not work. Mentioned it to the desk when we left for the day the next morning. Came back to find a lovely cheese platter with a handwritten apology for our inconvenience. Problem is the television was never fixed which is very annoying. Just got back to room late at night and it still doesn't work. Certainly don't want anyone coming up to room this late. This was an award stay and I will ask for a partial refund when we check out tomorrow. Really is a shame. It is a happening place in a great location for us. Come to area a few times a year to visit family. Not sure we can stay here again, which is sad.

As always, the staff here goes above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thao worked with us checking in to make sure we had the right room. And every evening greeted us by name and with a smile. This is the only hotel we will ever use when we visit the DC area.

This is my third time staying at this Marriott and it is by far one of the best I have stayed at! There is a young lady Thao that has assisted me the last few times as I’ve checked in and she has been fantastic! Highly recommend
