Breakfast option, at Hotel Vestmannaeyjar, could be of higher quality.

Check-in und check-out findet im nahegelegenen Hotel statt. Alles ohne Probleme. Parkplätze waren ausreichend, gratis und direkt vor dem Haus verfügbar. Tolle Lage! Das Apartment ist geräumig und modern eingerichtet, leider dadurch eher wenig gemütlich. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Ausklappcouch hat extrem gut funktioniert und war sehr bequem. Im Keller gibt es eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner, der von allen Gästen gratis genutzt werden kann.

Die düstere Farbe und fehlende Bilder machen das Apartment etwas ungemütlich. Es hat sehr lange gedauert bis das Wasser warm wurde. Der Balkon ist eigentlich nicht nutzbar, da es nur einen Hocker gibt und die Aussicht nicht wirklich einladend ist. Man kann also auch durchaus das Souterrain buchen und dadurch Geld sparen.

Location is good. Typical clean cut Airbnb style - grey with more grey. Clean space.

My window faced a dumpster bin in someone’s back yard - not so nice. Someone tried to enter the room at night - actually someone did enter the room but left again. Pretty scary when you are two women there alone. We rented the place to share two people in separate beds. The bed in the bedroom covered the door that allowed to close between the two rooms meaning we had to move the whole bed to be able to close the door - feels like too much of a hassle. Glasses in the cupboard were obviously dirty. Otherwise clean.

The building is newer and rooms had modern accommodations, including fully equiped kitchens. My girlfriend loved our room and called it a boutique accommodation. She also liked the balcony, and that the bathroom was spacious. Our unit was quiet. The staff allowed us to check out in the mid afternoon due to bad weather that delayed the ferry departure. The hotel is two blocks from the center of town. The hotel has a very nice restaurant!

We did not have a negative experience. Although, it would have been nice if the room had condiments.
