Perfect stay. Great quiet location surrounded by fields very private, so perfect for the dog. Owners were really friendly and the Woodfire hot tub bath was a great addition.

Loved the fenced garden for our dog and how quiet it was. It was overpriced for a caravan with cladding on especially after looking at other properties in the area. I tried to contact the owners as we did not receive any instructions of how to book in. We arrived at the property and tried ringing only to be cut off. I eventually went and found the property and the keys hanging up so let ourselves in. We saw the owner a few hours later who informed us they had just come back from holiday, this was not communicated to us. Having read the comments in the book in ‘the lodge’ and having stayed a couple of nights, it comes across that the owners have given up on holiday letting.

"Beautiful, peaceful lodge, ideal for dogs and kids"

10.0

Lovely little lodge with lots of sweet extra touches like fairy lights, a cosy fireplace and outdoor bath. The fully enclosed, large garden is ideal for dogs and children, with beautiful views from every angle. Lovely to see horses and cows so close. Jon is an excellent and very friendly host. We were looked after very well, whilst left in privacy as a family. The King size bed was very comfortable and the other room had 2 single beds in, plus the lounge has a double sofa bed, so you could potentially have 6 people here. Our little dog loved the freedom of the garden and instantly made herself at home inside the lodge. The kitchen is well equipped and Jon went out of his way to help, if there were any additional issues or requests. I would thoroughly recommend this lodge to families, couples, or anyone who wishes to get away from it all in beautiful countryside. Parking was very easy, just in front of the lodge - we had 2 cars, which was not a problem.

Lovely setting, nice people, outside dining area was a lovely addition. Our kids declared that this should be one of our regular holiday destinations within an hour of arriving!
