TownePlace Suites by Marriott Asheville West

I always try to stay at TownePlace Hotels! Always friendly and easy check in. Two small things this visit- the bathroom floor felt sticky with slippers on. Also, wish you had scrambled eggs vs omelet w/ green peppers (Not a show stopper). Room was very comfortable but my room faced the front and I could hear the interstate very well. Otherwise, everything was great as usual!

You could not asked for a greater staff, they we very professional and attentive to everyone’s needs. A power outage for a few hours and all network connectivity were lost for a couple of days. A number of people were very irate and treating the staff terribly. They went over and above their call and kept a smile and a positive attitude throughout this tough time. Special shout-out to Erica, Felicia and Lauren(Laura?) who were amazing.

New, sparkling clean property. Full, well equiped kitchen. Nice staff comfortable bed.

Not sufficiently noise proof for traffic noise. Noisy AC/ heating unit. Awkward room layout if there are 2 in the room. The bathroom door is right next to the bed headboard. Very bitter coffee and ciffee carafe not kept fillrd.

Hotel and staff great. Breakfast quite mediocre. Lots of construction around property so outside very noisy.

The location was convenient to all things. Easy to find and enter/exit. Even though by highway, we didnt hear a thing. Parking was a challenge some nights w/ big worker trucks, but we managed. The gym and laundry facilities always kept clean. And loved how attentive and kind the front desk were during our stay.

While we appreciate the environmentally-conscious cleaning service, the lack/size of trash cans and not really seeing the room service staff very often, made it a bit challenging when staying a few days. The biggest complaint was the breakfast!!! So surprised by the lack of variety- carbs, carbs, and more carbs. It wouldve been great to have a variety of fruit, more oatmeal, hardboiled eggs. And even getting there by 8am (breakfast until 930), things would be empty and not refilled! I felt sorry for folks with younger children who came down at b/w830-930, I mean there would be 1 apple left for fruit, 1 pack of oatmeal, out of juices or a cereal.
