Very Quiet, right next to the ocean, really helpful friendly staff, a clean pool, and a lovely room. It was perfect. Also, the bus is right out the street, 30 mins to Bridgetown, always an interesting ride.

Dass es ein „Adults only“ Hotel ist, das fanden wir sehr angenehm, wirklich ruhig. Die Architektur dieses Hotels und die Lage direkt an der Küste, wenn du im Pool bist und aufs Meer siehst, einfach traumhaft.

Wir würden lieber 40€ mehr bezahlen pro Nacht und dann dafür fürs Frühstücken nichts mehr (Breakfast included) als jeden Tag bestellen zu müssen und danach wieder zu bezahlen aber denke das ist Europa vs. America.

Beautiful design and well cared for. Large room with huge bed and private patio, simply and tastefully furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the lovely ladies on the front desk. Amazing view of the sea.

It is quite isolated however easy to reach other places on local public transport

If you are considering Ocean Blue Resort in Barbados, let me save you the trouble: don’t. This place is a masterclass in how to disappoint guests while hiding behind technicalities. The moment I checked in, it became obvious that Ocean Blue is a “resort” in name only. My room had no television, no basic amenities, nothing remotely resembling comfort or hospitality. I have stayed in budget hostels with more care and consideration. For a property marketed as a resort, the absence of even the most elementary features is astonishing. When I realized I could not endure four nights under these conditions, I shortened my stay to two and notified Booking.com. Ocean Blue’s response? A flat refusal to adjust or refund anything, claiming that TVs and amenities weren’t “advertised,” as though guests should expect a blank room unless otherwise stated. This level of intellectual gymnastics would be comical if it weren’t so insulting. A hotel should not need to advertise the existence of basic essentials. The expectation of a TV, functional amenities, and a minimally comfortable environment is not an outrageous demand; it is the global standard. Ocean Blue has mastered the art of doing the bare minimum while charging premium prices and offering premium excuses. This property hides behind loopholes instead of providing service, chooses inflexibility over decency, and treats guests as if they should be grateful for whatever they get. It is the antithesis of Caribbean hospitality. If you value transparency, comfort, or even the slightest respect as a paying guest, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Ocean Blue Resort. There are countless better options in Barbados that won’t leave you feeling scammed, frustrated, or counting the hours until check-out. Zero stars if I could.
