Hotel Tres Reyes San Sebastián

The room was designed with comfort in mind. Superking bed was perfect and there was lots of storage space for everything. Beautiful bathroom with green tiled floor and walls. Restaurant offered varied selection of tasty dishes and a special thank you to Liz for making sure our evening meals were memorable occasions. All staff were welcoming and helpful and we would highly recommend the Tres Reyes for a stay in Donastia San Sebastián.

Whilst the hotel is located a little way from the centre and from the Old Town it is easy to jump on a bus near the hotel and be in the the thick of things within 15 minutes.

Nice and spacious rooms, easy to park, great design and the staff was friendly.

The cleanliness of the rooms was ok, but the bathroom could have been cleaner - there was a lot of limestone and once you looked closer it just wasn’t deep cleaned. In the bathroom the door handle of the door fell off and I requested maintenance staff to fix it - I informed them in the morning. By 5pm I had returned from a day out, to relax in the hotel only to find that neither the room had been made up nor maintenance staff had fixed the door. Upon inquiry as to why they then wanted to send housekeeping and maintenance, which was obviously annoying, as now was the time to for me to relax and refresh before dinner. Another day we also returned from a day out and housekeeping had left our door open and unlocked after making up our room. The staff was friendly, but things often felt unorganized and not professional - especially during breakfast. Everyday we had to search for cutlery and plates around the buffet and they ran out of basic things such as Joghurt for several days. During breakfast we also requested to sit outside on the breakfast terrace, which they reluctantly agreed to after arguing about it (because they did not feel like opening the terrace at a sunny 20 degrees, as it meant wiping down the tables = more work). But once we sat down, we were locked out, as the doors could not be opened from the outside and staff did not know how to handle the door situation. We surely cannot have been the first guests ever using the outside breakfast terrace…just very cumbersome. We were also informed up front that the pool would be closed until mid June, but we just could not understand why. We weren’t even allowed to use the terrace with the sun loungers when it was 25 degrees outside. Many guests were understandingly upset about this.

Perhaps I misjudged it ( from the reviews) but the hotel was not in an accessible or attractive part of town. It is also soulless We had booked for 4 nights. We asked the reception staff to allow us to pay for the first night and waive the other nights. Not only did they refuse but they were abrasive and rude. I suggested that it might be an “ elegant “ compromise but the assistant manageress didn’t even have the courtesy to respond

Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr sauber. Sehr schönes gerämiges Zimmer und reichhaltiges gutes Frühstück. Ruhige lage. Das Hotel ist modern und gepflegt,Garage ist im gebäde integriert.Modern.

Alles war perfegt.

Le personnel, très aimable et à disposition. La chambre était également très propre et bien équipé. Le petit déjeuner était bon, sans offrir non plus un choix immense ou varié mais très correct.

La politique concernant les animaux de compagnie est une vaste blague. Prix clairement excessif au vue de la prestation, surtout sur des séjours de plusieurs jours : - Un simple petit tissu - 3 friandises - Une gamelle Et par contre, interdiction d'avoir l'animal avec soi y compris en terrasse, interdiction de le laisser en chambre, interdiction qu'il monte sur un canapé ou autre. Au final on doit le laisser en voiture quand on déjeune ? Venir à tour de rôle ? Pour le prix payé par nuitée, clairement un scandale. Autre chose, le restaurant. Pas de soucis avec le fait d'avoir de nouvelles recrues et tout le monde doit apprendre, moins normal par contre que des gens expérimentés soient en sous effectif vis à vis de nouveaux profils. Tout le monde est en difficulté, et le client n'est pas satisfait : repas froid, non complet et servi en décalé entre les personnes. On peux terminé par le prix du parking qui est également une grande blague. A savoir, il faut compter le prix du parking, plus le prix de la recharge électrique qui vous refroidira. La bonne nouvelle, la rue est gratuite et dispose de place si vous arrivez en fin de journée. Pour le management de l'hôtel, pensez à revoir votre politique sur plusieurs aspects. De bonnes équipes ne devraient pas avoir à compenser vos politiques ou choix d'emploi du temps concernant votre personnel.
