Kohan no yado Kojima

The owner very kindly picked us up from the bus stop and gave us some welcome snacks. He was friendly and kind. The house was very clean and well stocked with all that we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and hot water. The location is perfect. It's just across the road from the lake and we thought had a better view of the lake and islands than from the main part of town. There is a nightly fireworks display which you can watch from here.

Some advice on how to separate the rubbish would be useful. We know that recycling is important, so we wanted to do it right. Although not to do with our stay, guests should know that most restaurants in the area close VERY early. We went for dinner at 7.15pm and couldn't get a meal anywhere. The times on the leaflet provided are out of date and often the restaurants close early if they have run out of food! There is a similar problem at lunchtime. There are very long waits to get a table and again restaurants close early because they sell out of food. We managed to get the last table at a very nice pizza place at only 1.30pm then they closed, although the advertised closing time was 3.30pm!

The location, spacious and clean. Very convenient to go to nearby amenities.

Staircase was narrow.

very calm little house at the lake, it was a beautiful location. we could park our car right in front of the house and the kitchen and bathroom was well equipped

it is directly at a main street but as long as windows are closed it’s not too noisy, it didn’t really bother us but it’s good to know that there are some bugs coming in because it’s close to nature and a forest

We experienced a lovely and relaxing stay in a nice house. It takes you 15 minutes walk on the lake side to get to Toya Onsen. The property is fully equipped and absolutely clean. The hosts are so forthcoming and helpful - absolutely lovely.

The property is right next to a road, so you may hear some traffic pass.
