The Metro Hotel

awesome stay! i loved the details of the room.

Phenomenal little hotel on a charming street in SF. Compact but comfortable with warm lighting, good water pressure, and a soft bed. A relief to be stationed outside of downtown. Only improvement would be if they could tuck a little Nespresso machine in the room, but luckily there's a top tier coffee shop next door. Found my new place to stay in the city!

Wonderful staff, beautiful artwork and a very comfortable bed. Walkable to multiple restaurants and park. Central area of San Francisco. Will stay again.

This cute little boutique hotel is full of charm, and in a prime location. It is my go-to hotel for short stopovers when traveling solo or with my wife. Beds are comfy, vibe is cozy and welcoming, little backyard area is an oasis. The staff are just so polite, professional and friendly.

Staff was super courteous and attentive. The hotel itself is awesome, full of charm and the bed was perrrrfect!! What I would have liked was coffee service in the room. But Tommy supplied me with a kettle and I was able to make my own. That was super nice.

This is the only hotel on its stretch of Divisadero. (Great neighborhood.) It’s clean, recently refreshed, and has friendly staff. The rooms — even the ones facing the street — are quiet. I recommend it and would certainly stay there again, but there are a few things that anyone who stays there should be aware of. 1) The rooms are quite small. We were staying near family a block and a half away, and were able to leave our bags there, but I’m not sure how we would have managed if we had to keep our bags in the room. It would have been quite tight. 2) There’s no elevator. If you do have bags, you’ll have to carry them up at least one steep and narrow staircase. 3) There’s no free coffee service in the morning. (There is tea service.) It’s true that Sightglass Coffee is down the block, but a hotel of this quality and at this price point should have free coffee in the morning.

I stayed at The Metro Hotel with my son and his best friend for one night. Ashley at the front desk was very kind and friendly. We stayed in the premium two-queen-bed room, which was very clean, cozy, and quiet. Grateful for the delicious tea and convenient location to The Independent,
