No1 Apartments Edinburgh - New Town

Very nice location in new town. Felt very safe, quiet but just 10 minutes walk from the centre. Comfy bed and apartment was clean.

The apartment was small, bathrooms very small and there was very limited storage. We had a lot of luggage as we are in the UK for 3 weeks, probably not an issue for those on a short stay

Really well presented with all you would need. Very spacious and nice touches with decor that gave it a luxurious feel. Quiet and great location. We are looking forward to staying again soon.

Lovely interior, clean and loved size of the rooms.

It was really warm at night and hadn’t realise there was fans until we left. Bedrooms could benefit from more lighting.

The apartments are located not far from the city center, on a fairly quiet street, with plenty of breakfast spots nearby. Communication with the staff was good, and no in-person meeting was required. All necessary information was provided in advance by email. The apartment was clean and well equipped, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There is an option to leave luggage at a partner hotel, but please note that this hotel is located near the train station, about a 20-minute walk from the apartments. Since I didn't check the address in advance and assumed the luggage storage would be nearby, we ended up having to walk back with our suitcases. Although I'd say that this hotel is actually convenient for luggage storage if you are arriving or departing by train.

The front door, which opens directly onto the street, has a very weak code lock. From the inside, the door can be opened simply by pressing the handle, and there is no latch or bolt, or any way to lock and secure it. This raises some concerns in terms of safety. There was also a broken hinge on one of the bedroom doors, so it could not be closed. Judging by the scratch on the floor, this does not seem to be a new issue.

Great space, larger than we expected. Very comfortable and well-located for what we needed.

The beds were two doubles, not a double and two singles (as we had expected from the listing). This didn’t matter hugely as we just took one mattress off the bed.
