Big Island Keauhou Akahi #311 home

The condo is in a beautiful location with a great view. It is also well stocked with many things you might need. Unfortunately, it faces a golf course where giant mowers will come out every morning (yes, daily) at 5am and wake guests up with loud noise right outside the lolbalcony. Important to know for those who book. There is also no a/c in the unit and it is hot and humid. We were accommodated with house fans which were loud and rickety. Lots of beetles and flying ants coming up through the bathroom drains. It is up 3 flights of stairs, no elevator. It’s not the cleanest unit, there was some previous dirt, hair and grime when we arrived. The fridge light was out and a shelf was cracked. The front door won’t close at night but there is a deadbolt security screen. It’s quaint inside but everything is very dated. Yes, this is a tropical environment (so might be bugs but this unit has a lot) and affordable rental. Again, nice location and some nice touches in the unit but there are some problems. If guests are looking for peace and quiet or a cleaner, better maintained environment, they be better off booking elsewhere. Had I known how loud it would be every morning, I’d have chosen a different location.
