Old Legends Hotel

Beautiful old building in a perfect location in the heart of Plovdiv's Old Town. We arrived by car but returned it and would not have wanted to deal with parking at this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated in the style of the building and quite grand. We arrived early and were allowed to check in, which we greatly appreciated. From the hotel, you can easily walk to all tourist sites.

Nothing, really. We were sorry that their restaurant was no long open, as we heard repeatedly that it had been the best restaurant in Polvdiv. We can highly recommend Mayriges, an outstanding Lebanese restaurant in the Kapanna area of Plovdiv.

De locatie in de oude stad is fantastisch! Prachtig pand in de prachtige oude stad en ... even oversteken en je wandelt zo de wijk Kapana in met haar vele restaurantjes, cafés en galerie.

Het hotel is oud, dat is super, en de kamer is groot, maar wel erg donker. Daarnaast vond ik de badkamer ook niet erg comfortabel en moesten we echt zoeken naar de ontbijtkamer. Een beetje modern comfort zou wel fijn zijn.

היו המון מדרגות להגיע לחדר והיה לנו לא קל. אין מעלית, כמובן. לא קיבלנו עזרה מהאדם בקבלה שהסתכל עלינו כיצד אנו מתנייעים עם המזוודות ולא הציע עזרה,,, רק בסוף. החדר בצילומים באתר היה יפה יותר מאשר במציאות, אבל בהחלט היה מיוחד. ארוחת הבוקר היתה טעימה, מבחר גדול של מזונות ומארחת נחמדה.

Great atmosphere. Great location. A haven of quiet. We lived it so much we stayed an extra day.

Unique style and decor of hotel, old town location is excellent. Great value for money.

Nice spacious rooms with large beds in the old town. Authentic Bulgarian furniture and decor. Clean facilities.

The bar and restaurant were closed for the season, which we were not aware of prior to booking. There was therefore no central location for us to meet or sit other than on our beds in the rooms. The breakfast was limited and unappetising. There was nobody on reception unless guests were checking in. The single staff member who was our only contact for our second and final day did not speak English and had to phone a colleague to translate. We had hoped for a cosy hotel in the old town, we experienced an apartment with keys to let ourselves in and no communal areas. A bit disappointing.

Everything was excellent. It was a unique experience and we would certainly book to seat there again if we are in Plovdiv.
