Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Besonders unangenehm sind die stark beanspruchten, teils unhygienisch wirkenden Teppichböden – ein Problem, das man leider in vielen Hotels in den USA antrifft. Gerade diese Teppiche hinterlassen den Eindruck, über Jahre hinweg kaum grundlegend gereinigt worden zu sein, was sich auch in einem muffigen Geruch bemerkbar macht. Zusätzlich verschärft wird die Situation dadurch, dass sich die Fenster nicht öffnen lassen. Man ist gezwungen, die abgestandene, unangenehme Luft die ganze Nacht über im Raum zu behalten – was den Aufenthalt insgesamt deutlich beeinträchtigt.
