Area outside the farm was beautiful

Dirty worktops soaked in water and grime,units worn old and damaged,window handle came off in hand trying to open window,no tv box yet found a broken one in half jammed in the sofa bed,outside door entry area concrete and area to the hotub was slippery and dirty,base of the dome all dirty power cables for lights hanging around plug area soaking wet,hot tub lid fell off to the floor not secure ,we went and bought cleaning products to clean kitchen and shower bought our own cups to use ,bought new mattress cover and sheets for the bed the shower had low water pressure ,the fridge freezer wasn't switched on on arrival so the whole farm looks tired with ,burnt sofas and piled rubbish in areas all along the route to cottage ,the cottage itself where you were asked to pay a deposit was in a very poor state of repair in whatever they call the reception area,although the two gentlemen we met were very polite. On my part i didn't't read about the £150 deposit on arrival or I would have booked elsewhere,I can understand in the winter going to such a farm yes wellingtons needed back and forth the car but the Nook itself was tired and outdated needed a coat of paint and marks on walls holes filled and freshened up, not like their photo shoot On checking out was met by the host gentleman still in his bathrobe telling me they would pay the deposit back once the cleaner been in,which then I had to chase with a phonecall and emails before a week later it was put back in our account. We didn't say anything as not to give any chance of getting our deposit back.

The property was lovely inside nice and cosy and the jacuzzi with the lights was absolutely stunning

The shower water pressure wasn’t the strongest, and it is very very out of the way with thin farm roads and lots of times I’d panic on the road

The place has so much potential if the owner was willing to accept constructive feedback- and Mark (one of the team) was so lovely, understanding and helpful.

Unfortunately, the property was not clean or prepared to an acceptable standard on arrival. The fridge/freezer appeared to have been switched on shortly before we arrived, resulting in all frozen food defrosting. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty, including unclean cutlery, crockery, sink, shower drain, and mouldy grout. The shower also flooded and was difficult to use. The bedding was unhygienic- we found hairs that were not ours, a ripped pillow, and a live insect in the bed (video evidence taken). There was significant dust, cobwebs, and visible damage to the ceiling above the bed. Under the bed was very dirty and contained rubbish left from a previous guest. We raised these issues promptly and provided photographic and video evidence. Unfortunately, the response from the owner was rude, unprofessional and dismissive, and feedback was taken personally rather than addressed constructively. I hope future feedback is handled more professionally and that legitimate concerns from paying guests are acknowledged rather than challenged. Screenshots are available. The Farmer was amazing so helpful, towed us out of the snow. The nook is very cozy and the hot tub was great

Loved everything about this property. Lots of lovely touches. The hot tub was well maintained and got. I loved that the bed warmer was put on before we arrived as it was a cold evening
