Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

We stayed at the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya from Friday afternoon to Sunday, and it was exactly the kind of reset we needed. After just a couple of days soaking up the sun by the peaceful, palm-lined pools and listening to the waves crashing just steps away, I left feeling completely recharged. While it’s a resort, it truly has the feel of a boutique luxury hotel—beautifully designed spaces, a calm atmosphere, and incredible attention to detail throughout. One of the highlights for me was the food. I was especially impressed by the variety of vegan and plant-based options available at every restaurant—something you don’t always find done this well. The activities program really stood out and added something unique to the experience. The workshops were a perfect way to break up the day, get out of the sun for a bit, and connect with other guests. They felt both fun and therapeutic. During our stay, we decorated ceramic jewelry trays, made macramé coasters, painted magnets, created smudge sticks, and even participated in an oracle reading session. It made the whole weekend feel more meaningful, and I loved being able to take home little souvenirs we created ourselves. The entertainment team was also incredibly friendly and made every activity enjoyable. The kids club was another huge highlight. The activities kept the kids fully engaged—they were constantly excited to go back and couldn’t stop talking about what they had learned during storytelling sessions and the crafts they made. It gave us the perfect balance between quality family time by the pool and some quiet moments to relax, knowing they were having a great time. We were lucky with the weather, which allowed us to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer. The kids also loved ordering room service and stopping by the coffee shop throughout the day for ice cream and brownies—little moments that made the trip even more special. Overall, it was a memorable family weekend and a truly rejuvenating getaway. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious escape with a touch of Tulum’s charm.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya and overall had a wonderful experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning — the architecture blends beautifully with the surrounding jungle and everything feels modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was large, comfortable, and very well appointed, with a great terrace and a beautiful bathroom. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. The pools and beach areas were highlights of the property. There are several pools so it never felt overcrowded, and the beach club had a great atmosphere. Service throughout the resort was excellent — the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Food was very good overall, and breakfast in particular had a great selection and quality. There were just a couple of small things that felt out of place for a resort of this caliber. The black pool and beach loungers are quite basic — they’re uncushioned and not particularly comfortable. At a luxury property like this, upgraded cushioned loungers would make a big difference in the overall experience. Another minor downside is that the TVs in the rooms don’t have the ability to connect to Netflix or other streaming services. Most newer hotels offer this capability, so it was a little surprising that it wasn’t available. That said, these are relatively small issues in what was otherwise a fantastic stay. The property is beautiful, the service is excellent, and we would absolutely consider returning. The staff were all amazing. Here are some names in particular: Jorge, Demitrio, Damien and Jesus at the pool and beach were all amazing. Hector at the beach bar made the most incredible and creative cocktails Roussel at Maratea served is twice and was so incredible. Ana at Cafetal always had a smile every morning while preparing my coffee. Itzel and Ricky at the concierge were next level professional. Gloria (housekeeping) was as sweet as can be. Claudia at the bellhop area was always so pleasant on the rides back to the room. Irlanda from in-house reservations was so helpful in booking our stay. I was hoping to meet her while we were there, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. She is an angel. We got the opportunity to meet Wilmer the general manager and he is such an asset to the hotel. You can tell he really takes care of the hotel as if it’s his own. The Conrad Tulum is lucky to have him. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day. Highly Recommended!

I’ve been to the Cancun/Tulum area more times than I can count. However, this was my first time coming to the Conrad Tulum. I rate this experience somewhere between a 3.5 and 4.0. It is a large resort with four pools and five restaurants. Each pool also has a bar and food menu. You should definitely call the front desk to find out which pool is being serviced each day, because even though the pool profiles say they are open every day, on some days they just decide not to open a specific pool and it’s bar/food service. I asked about this and they couldn’t really give me a clear answer. I’m guessing that they move the staff around based on capacity of the hotel. I was impressed with food at the main restaurants. Even the in room dining food was delicious. There is also a bar close to the lobby. I went there several times, and I think they’ve got somewhat of an identity crisis in how they want to brand this bar. It certainly was designed as a lounge, however, has turned into more of a sports bar. There was nothing special or intimate about the experience in this bar. The staff were very friendly, albeit not overly attentive. Generally, while at a pool or in the main pool area, I would either have to go to the bar myself, or seek out service directly. Housekeeping was OK. But I was surprised that after staying at the resort seven nights, they did not once change the sheets on my bed. They simply made the bed. However, overall, the rooms were clean and well appointed. Most disappointing part of the experience is that beyond the high rates you’re paying for the room, they also add a 15% service charge on any food or beverage that you order at the resort. This is not disclosed in any way when you’re booking the room. They do not consider this a tip, as they say, the 15% is shared with the whole of their staff. So even though the rooms are expensive, you’re gonna end up paying a whole lot more for the experience with this 15% service charge on everything that you do. Not to mention the expectation that you add tip on top of that. It is one of those hidden fees that has become a scam in the hotel industry. This 15% service fee is what they should be paying directly to their teams in terms of salary. But instead, they’re passing the cost of their staff onto their customers through this service fee. Nothing special about the trip. Don’t think I’ll make a second trip back to this location.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Genug Platz, viele Pools, immer freie Liegen und Handtücher so viel man will zur Verfügung. Toll ist auch das Caffee und die Restaurants. Natürlich ist alles etwas hochpreisiger aber das war zu erwarten. Das Frühstück ist auch super. Es gibt alles was das Herz begehrt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Zimmer schick. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und man kann sogar in der Anlage selbst wundervoll Joggen gehen so groß ist sie. Man trifft dort auch einige Tiere wie Nasenbären, Waschbären oder Agutis und viele Leguane. Der Service am Pool ist auch toll. Man kann sich Getränke, Essen und Kokusnüsse bestellen :-) Man wird jederzeit ohne Probleme mit Golf Carts durch die Anlage gefahren. Das war super praktisch und hat Spaß gemacht. Das Spa war auch sehr schön. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

They have a great mix of indoor creative time and outdoor play. It’s clear the team put a lot of thought into the weekly calendar so the kids do different things every time. My kids came back with a lot of crafting and huge smiles. 10/10! All the staff is very nice and friendly! We had an amazing experience! The location is very unique. The hotel and the rooms very beautiful style, the food could be better but in general was very good experience.

Great stay at the Conrad Tulum. We stayed Spring Break and the hotel was not busy which was a nice surprise. Always able to get prime seating at the beach and pool. The beach is nice but had a lot of seaweed. They tried their best to clean it up every morning but it kept re-accumulating. The right side of the beach had less seaweed. The property is beautiful in the lush jungle. Nice gym, yoga classes, kids club with teens corner. Also cool to see wildlife include raccoons, coatis, agoutis, squirrels, lots of iguanas, birds. Overall service was quite good. Shout out to Saturino (ultramar for going the extra mile for us), Damian at the pool bar, Juan and Roberto (yoga instructors), Rodrigo and Yovani (Arbolea breakfast), and Abraham (Maratea) for providing excellent service. Some minor negatives about the hotel. It is isolated, we just stayed on the property the whole time (but may be a little inconvenient if you are wanting to venture out for restaurants etc). Food was overall good at the places we ate at, not great (although we never went to the Michelin restaurant). We ate at Ultramar and Maratea for dinner to appease my picky teenager. Food prices were high but I think about what is to be expected (we were in Las Vegas recently and it was about the same). Wine was very expensive though, ($25 for a glass of Catena Malbec which is $17 for a whole bottle retail in US). Beer (around $7-$10) and cocktails (around $20) were closer to where they should be for a high end hotel. We booked through Amex FHR and really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it as an option for a relaxing beach vacation.

Amazing service! My kids when to the kids Club and we were so impress about the kindness of the staff. My kids felt safe and they had a lot of fun. Thank you!!

The entire trip was fantastic. Felt high end while not too stuffy - which was important as we had small children. Food was all really good, especially breakfast buffet. Tanya was especially great in helping us each morning at breakfast.
