Fantastic location and excellent service! We stayed in the small double with patio in the outbuilding and it was beautifully decorated with a great bathroom, also great terrace in front to enjoy the view and the passing cruise ships. We used the bikes to explore the island and they were in great condition. Good dinner and breakfast with lots of choice. The staff were super nice and helpful. The hotel owner gave us a tour of the fort in the morning and it was super interesting to hear all the history of the area. For info, we came from Stockholm Stromkajen pier with the ferry to Rindo Grenadjärbryggan and then it's a 10mns walk to the yellow ferry at Rindo - Stenslatten/Varmdo(that departs every 15/20mns) to Varmdo and then another 10mns walk to Fredriksborg on a nice quiet road where we actually saw lots of deers. Great ferry journey as you get to see a lot of other islands on the archipelago and you can also hop on/off if the ferry timetables allows you to. You just touch your card when you get in the boat (£6.70) but check the timetable carefully on googlemaps. Would definitely recommend staying there and wish we had had more time!

The mattresses were on the soft side for me but it's really a matter of personal choice. Wouldn't prevent me from staying again at Fredriksborg hotel as I loved it!

Väldigt trevligt hotell med familjär stämning, fantastiska omgivningar och god mat.

A magical place. A direct view of the sea, with ships passing literally right next to you. Very friendly and courteous staff, delicious food, and spotlessly clean rooms. Whatever I write, it still won’t be enough to capture how special this place truly is. I can’t wait to come back here — and stay longer next time.

Fantastisk personal, frukost och läge vid Fredriksborg och Oxdjupet där alla Stockholmsfärjor passerar. Bra rum och god mat.

Blev ganska varmt på rummet till kvällen med sol och +22-24:grader ute men kunde öppna fönstren och vädra.
