The Tanneries Hotel & Spa - a Member of Design Hotels

The property was beautifully located by the beach and we have impeccable views. We really enjoyed the sunset from our rooms. The steam in our shower was an absolutely win and all the toiletries also felt luxurious. Great spa!

Car valet service was very helpful, Hotel restaurant was exceptional both for Breakfast and dinner. Our room was perfect with a great sea view (the balcony was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset)

The hotel is in a quieter section of town and has magnificent water views. Rooms have excellent lighting control and modern amenities. Materials used in hotel are top notch. The small indoor seawater pool is excellent.

The room you select matters. Avoid the Junior seafront suites on the first floor that are perfect rooms with gorgeous sea views but zero way to enjoy said view, no privacy due to walkway right outside window. Your sea view is interrupted by humans passing feet away from your face outside your window or randoms showing up to fish for hours or walk babies or strolls. It is difficult to imagine the traffic in high season. The hotel should categorize these rooms clearly with a first floor/facing public walkway warning tagline on all booking sites, so clients have this information when selecting a room. Breakfast setup is more for aesthetics than practicality. You don't have to make it all look so pretty, at the cost of a more functional serving of a functional meal. A bowl of chopped fruit works better than beautiful paper thin moon shape slices displayed as art where one customer can deplete the full supply and not even get to half a fruit's worth. There were multiple examples of inefficiency but overall minor issues which may, however, be exacerbated in busier times.
