The OVO Hydro Penthouse With Free Parking

The location was excellent for the Hydro.

The stairs with no lift for us to take our bags but maybe we shouldn't have assumed there was a lift! The oven wouldn't work as it had missing knobs, insufficient cutlery for 4 people, cleanliness especially the kitchen cupboards, open food in the fridge freezer all need attention.

Great spacious flat, took my daughter and friends to a concert, great set up, they had own space upstairs, plenty of room for us all. Excellent location for ovo. Good communication with owners.

Nothing really, disappointed price increased as concert on but that is usual for anywhere.

Unfortunately the beds were not that comfy. This was the only negative. The beds did result in everyone having a bit of a poor sleep each night

The location was excellent for the OVO and it is very spacious.

The standard of cleanliness was awful. The apartment is very run down and shabby which could be overlooked if it was clean. However there is what appears to be months of dust and grime built up on all the surfaces, bathrooms and floors. The kitchen was sticky and dirty. The oven is broken. The hob, kettle, glassware and cabinet doors all filthy with splashes and hairs. Windows, skirtings and walls covered in spills and dust.

Prior to my arrival, I had requested for an earlier check in due to the times of travel. This has been accepted. I arrived at the apartment just after 1pm (as agreed). I did not receive an email beforehand with address details such as apartment number or code for the key. I tried to contact the host but did not receive a response until 2:55pm saying that the cleaners were still inside. I had to wait until they had finished but even then, I did not have instructions or location of the key lock box. I rang the host yet again and she explained where it was, when I seen it, the keys had not been put. I was stranded outside of the apartments not knowing where to go or how to get in. The host called saying she would be 5-10 minutes to drop off the keys however after 20 minutes I gave up waiting and went to the local shop for food. When I finally got the keys and apartment number, I was applaud to see the state of the apartment. The radiator was hanging off the wall, there was gaps between the windows and walls which had been filled with cob webs. The freezer was unclean and had cracks in the trays, it looked as though the freezer had never been defrosted before so there was a thick piece of ice to the point where you probably wouldn’t fit a box of fish fingers in. There is NO lift to the penthouse so I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs (6 sets altogether). This is not ideal if you have mobility problems. There was paint peeling off the walls, stains in the bath, damp on the ceilings, locks had been taken off doors and the sofas had cracks all the way along. The utensils in the kitchen still had food on them which hadn’t not been washed off, dirt inside the fridge and not much kitchen appliances. The walls need a coat of paint due to the stains on there too, the windows hadn’t been washed and the shower was dirty. Numerous stains on the shower curtain and living room curtains, not sure if they have ever been washed.
