The Llangollen - Berwyn House

Beware! This property is NOTHING like the pictures that they use! It is also used for social housing by the local council to house the homeless. We booked this property based on the pictures and information they use on various popular booking sites. Well, more fool us! We initially could not locate the property upon arrival into the area as it is a single door between two shops in the town centre. Upon entering the property we were hit with a smell of animals despite the listing advising pets were not allowed. We then noticed the dirty walls and ceilings, full of cobwebs. That was only the beginning! The walls were heavily scuffed and chipped, the bed linen and towels were dirty with very questionable stains. The windows were broken, the bathroom had dirty and cracked tiles and the shower tray was filthy. The property is also next to several rowdy bars, which which they don't mention, so good luck getting any sleep if you do brave the filth! We alerted Outlooks Accommodation's out of hours team and refused to stay at the property, having to then seek alternative accommodation at very short notice. Despite photographic evidence of all of the above we then had a battle to get our hard earned cash back from these crooks! Countless phone calls where their management team refused to speak with us, including Daniel Stevenson, who is down as the property manager but is also a director of the company according to Companies House. Zero response from them. Refund finally received.

Place was fine. Right on the main drag of bars and restaurants. Beware of noise. Was hard to find. Better directions for arrival or better signage would've helped. Just googling the address got us lost.
