Xoma Boutique Stays by Viadora

Stunning hotel w amazing design. Huge, fabulous rooms w a beautiful roof deck that has a small pool and serves a small continental breakfast in the morning. Best part is the location in Roma Norte where all of the clubs bars restaurants and boutiques are located. It reminds me of Soho in NYC.

Excellent location, clean, and very safe.

My group of 5 had a great stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt safe and looked after by all the staff. The room itself was modern, spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop was also an added bonus where there was a small pool and they served continental breakfast in the morning. The location was great in Roma Norte, walkable to all the great restaurants and bars the neighborhood has to offer. I highly recommend this property and would stay again when visiting Mexico City.

Stay was terrific but faced billing issues once returning to the U.S.. On arrival they asked for me to put down a hold for each of the 3 rooms that I booked with them. Their credit card machine was malfunctioning and they asked for me to return in a few hours as they held onto my credit card and I was happy to accommodate, these things happen sometimes. After a few hours I returned and the credit card machine was still not working and they asked for me to return the next morning to try again. Again, I had no issue with this since I can understand technical difficulties. Eventually the card was charged 3 times for the hold. Stay was great, clean facilities, central location, nice spacious rooms. It was not until my return did the headache occur. From the staff at Xoma, "In the last few days, we had problems with our bank returning your hold through the system. That’s why I dare to bother you by requesting the following information to make the process faster for your deposit". They requested, my swift code, bank account #, ABA, address etc. all things required for a money transfer but I was not okay with sharing my private information. Some wouldn’t bat an eye sending this information but at this point I’ve been dealing with them for days with this issue and I was not comfortable doing so. It's been almost 3 months since my stay and I'm still working on the dispute with my credit card company for holds on 3 rooms.

The architecture was unique. The furniture in the living room is a little worn and the daily cleaning was spotty. Floors weren't always swept and towels were not replenished during our 4 night stay.

The property was a good choice for our travel needs with its two bedrooms, two baths and living spaces. The front desk staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, making us feel safe and at home. If there was one thing that could have been better would have been follow up on the housekeeping as refilling the minibar, bottles of water in the bathroom, tea, etc. was not done consistently. Also, a small but important toiletry item of mine went missing which was disconcerting and did not reflect well on the property.
