"A comfortable boutique hotel with great vibes—just needs a couple of safety upgrades to be perfect."

9.0

I’ve stayed at Hotel Dryce multiple times and it’s easily one of my favorite boutique hotels. The beds are incredibly comfortable—I always get a great night’s sleep here. The decor is unique and thoughtfully done, with a cool, artsy vibe that doesn’t feel overdone. The bar is a standout too—great atmosphere and a fun place to hang out. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the manager is truly excellent—you can tell there’s pride in how the place is run. I also really appreciated the small touches, like the amazing hot water in the showers, the specialty lotion (which I loved), and the convenient morning coffee service. It’s a stylish, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable place to stay.

One thing I’ve noticed across multiple stays at Hotel Dryce is the lack of keycard-controlled access to the guest room floors. As it stands, anyone from the street or parking lot can walk right up to the rooms, which doesn’t feel as secure as it should for a hotel of this quality. Also, the parking lot lights have been out every time I’ve stayed there. I’ve been told it’s a timer issue, but it’s been ongoing long enough that it really needs to be fixed, especially for safety and visibility at night.
