Pony Island Inn

Right in the middle of town. Within 50 ft (Appx) of free tram (gulf cart). Jacob at the desk was outstanding! He was super friendly, knowledgeable about the island, and very helpful. We had a lovely time!

Although I slept decent, I prefer a firm mattress. The mattresses were very springy. Again, I slept well for the 2 nights we stayed- which is worth stating, since I do not sleep well on anything besides a firm mattress! My step father felt the exact same way as well!

Clean comfy rooms, nice linens, loved the ceiling fans! Roger at registration was warm, welcoming and engaging!

Loved the floors, but they are noisy and need more insulation. The people above me wore heels and cowboy boots, clamping around day and night, rolling their luggage from end to end of suite everyday. Came in late, left early in am, waking up floors beneath and neighbors.

On the main drag but not right in the busy section. It’s Ocracoke so nothing is far away. Beds were really comfy and the price was better than anyone else’s.

The office closes but got a call and was given the room # door code and WiFi password over the phone so not a big deal.

The best…the man at reception desk was super nice, gave me some info about area and some recommendations to go dine in. The room is clean, all set. Can’t complain about anything. Good location, everything is in walkable distance. Free parking cause i don’t think you will need a car here. Thank you, Pony island for having me.

Facility was very good - good location to walk to a variety of different places. Room was good for us and another couple to share. Breakfast at the Pony Island Restaurant was great - highly recommended.

Weather could have been better the first day - heavy rain caused a lot of standing water in the area, so we had to drive to dinner instead of walking, which would have been an easy walk, but sides of street were not passable by foot due to standing water.

We appreciated the super friendly and accommodating staff (Roger, Chris and Jacob) were a bonus! I liked that the room refrigerator was super cold and kept my food fresh. The room size was decent and hot water, tub and water pressure were excellent!

The beds were way too soft. Maybe they are old or new without firmness. Sleeping and sitting on the bed was a bit of a challenge. Curtains were worn and had some light coming through. Otherwise, the room was just fine.

Location and restaurant. Good beds.

Tv didn’t work, bathroom lights not all working, sticky floor.
