Pony Island Inn

This place was amazing friendly staff and owners. Had a minor hiccup but was resolved quickly. This is definitely my new place to stay weather fishing or vacationing on the island. Have already recommended this place to friends and family the come down on the island quite often. Thank you pony island inn for an amazing experience looking forward to are next visit.

Nothing really. There was a minor issue, that was immediately addressed.

The location was great. Very easy to find. Restaurant right there. Fridge and table is a nice amenity.

The TV did not work. The shower did not have hot water. If we were staying longer we would have had to contact someone to change rooms.

The location was great in the middle of Okracoke with easy reach to the rest of the town. The breakfast is not included but you can have breakfast in a nearby cafe where there is a good variety on offer. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen facilities were ok but it would be nice if there would have been some crockery or cutlery.

When I arrived the reception was closed (I arrived around 7.15 and on the door it said that it was open until 8pm) so I called the emergency number but couldn't get trough and had to leave a message. When the manager finally appeared he said that my number had appeared as an occult number on his phone (which was true) so he couldn't call me back. At the end it was fine and he was very nice and attentive but I feel that this situation could have been avoided. Apparently they send the room number and code (there are no keys) by text but I hadn't got that.

Motel was selected based on location and budget price point. Traveled with husband by car, free parking available on site. Motel was located on main road but was quiet. Shops, restaurants, harbor located nearby...most/all within walking distance. We checked in at staffed reception area, young man was very friendly, warm, hospitable. Our room was located on the first floor via minimal steps. Our room and bathroom was spacious and included a little kitchenette with refrigerator. We had two double beds. Mine was comfortable and I slept well but my husbands was not (a little lumpy) and he did not sleep well. The room was quiet. Given its location and reasonable price point, I would stay again.

Since I visited off season, I was disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open.

Roger was great and didn't flinch at my early check-in request. The room was cute, cozy, and clean. The location is close to everything you need.

I needed a desk to work at in the room and that was not available.
