There was a smell in the room I couldn’t get rid of….like body odor.

I got double charged for this room. I paid through this website and they still made me put up a card at check-in, which they also charged!

While I was in the bathtub, a maintenance employee entered my room without proper notice, walking in on me. I was later told by management that they entered because water was allegedly leaking into the room below. After this incident, I was required to answer the door in a towel when management arrived. In that moment, I was instructed to immediately pack my belongings and move to a smaller room on the floor below. The entire relocation process took approximately 45 minutes, during which I packed and moved my belongings without any assistance from staff. This delay caused me to be late for work. Although I was able to dress before changing rooms, the situation was embarrassing, disruptive, and completely avoidable. When I was moved to room 523, I was placed directly below the room that was reportedly leaking water. Staff were actively cleaning the leaking room while I was in the process of relocating. I specifically asked whether room 523 was affected by the water issue. A housekeeping employee responded, “No—what are you talking about?” This response directly contradicted the explanation I had been given for being forced to move rooms. Later that evening, when I checked in, the front desk employee appeared confused as to why I had been required to change rooms at all, further reinforcing the lack of clear communication and proper handling of the situation. It is also important to note that the original room had no heat throughout the night. The HVAC unit ran continuously, and the refrigerator was so loud that we had to use a fan to drown out the noise. The room was poorly stocked—there were no bathroom amenities aside from wall-mounted shower items, only two rags and two towels. There were no cups for coffee, no silverware, no microwave plate, and no bottled water—only coffee packets and Sweet’N Low.
