Clean new and clean looking interiors

Friendly service, clean room, convenient

This was my second stay at Regal Inn...the front office is always manned by friendly folks. The room is super clean. It has everything you would want, including an iron and ironing board, fresh towels nice shower. It has a barn door for bathroom door, which is very clever. The area is surrounded by commerce, on both sides of Hiway 90. I enjoyed the small mall less than a mile away; inside was a country buffet with different foods...gizzards and mustard greens.

I made a reservation and was surprised that a room was assigned on arrival, instead of having a specific room reserved in my name. Also, I've never before signed a statement at check-in agreeing that I had (only) ten minutes to change my mind. The appearance of the room was a great relief after the appearance of the check-in space, which needs paint and other improvement. The room was clean & comfortable, and I felt safe. A nice surprise a mini-fridge and microwave; they were not listed as amenities & did not show in the online photos (their cabinet is pictured but empty). I had to ask for a replacement battery for the TV remote. The drapes don't completely block the street light; they don't extend beyond the edges of the window; the door/outside wall does not completely block sound. I stayed 3 nights, the first night there was a lot of noise from the highway; the other two nights were fine. Not crazy about the barn door for the bathroom. No breakfast provided, but coffee available in the office/check-in space. Restaurants and a Publix grocery are a short drive. Overall I would be willing to return but probably not my first choice for Lake City. If I stay again I will bring my own pillow, though, these were too thick for my comfort.

Room was clean. I would not stay there again. Good one night stay.

Arrived very late (2:15 a.m.) to check in after a long drive. Room was fully paid for in advance and the description indicates there is 24/7 front desk so I didn't think it would be an issue arriving late. When we got there the front office was locked. We could see someone in the office sleeping in a chair and attempted to knock loudly and ring the doorbell but the front desk attendant would not wake up so we wound up leaving without staying at the property so unable to comment on the condition of the room or anything else. I called Hotels.com today for a refund given the circumstances and they tried to reach out to the property to discuss but couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone and said they would email me back in 72 hours. I respectfully request a full refund for the night since we were unable to use the room even though we were there.
