BATAM 1 HOTEL

This hotel was impeccably looked after in terms of cleanliness. I liked the location as it was midway between Nagoya Hills Mall and the Nagoya Food Court. I especially liked the buggy ride which took me from the reception area to my part of the building at the far end. Those drivers were very friendly and helpful with tips on where to go.

I read reviews complaining about noise levels, which I was lucky to avoid until the early hours of the morning. I later learnt that the noise was coming from taxi drivers chatting loudly whilst waiting for work who were parked next to the canal opposite the hotel.

The check in is smooth. Staff are fluent in English which makes the whole communication very clear. The room is clean and tidy. Toilet is clean too. The only problem is the basin is a bit too small.
