Sydney Wharf House

Was weekend away with girlfriends and spending time in the cottage was wonderful and relaxing. The owner was extremely helpful and let us go in to the property earlier than advertised and we were also able to leave the car on day of departure. i appreciate this was only because no other guests were due but it was a lovely gesture non the less.

The lamp on the table on the left hand side of the lounge door didn't work. Needs replacing as not enough low light up that corner of an evening. Also the Amazon Alexa didn't seem to work but it was OK as we used out own phones for music.

Liked that it was quiet, clean and spacious. Roof terrace is brilliant. Facilities are great, wifi is good, shower is good. Location is only a short walk to bath and close to the Tesco Express. Kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of seating. Key collection was straightforward.

The bedding and mattress in one of the double rooms were inferior and that caused an argument over beds. Bedding in master had some stains on it. Couldn’t get the heating to come on. No tumble dryer, although this was shown in the listing. Only one parking space, not two as listed (there is a second space but neighbours were parked in it)

location was great, within a 10-15 minute walk tot eh city centre. Top quality fittings and extras like teas and coffees, which was a nice touch. The tesco express was really close and a big plus

A single shower was a minor challenge for scheduling with 6 staying. The heating system was really efficient, but was quiet noisy, right under one of the rooms.

Extremely happy would have liked to be able to check out at 11 am but that would have incurred additional cost apart from that an excellent experience and would highly recommend
