Paradise Chalets Yoga & Wellness

The environment is very pleasant. It's all very new. The yoga sessions and yoga deck are just superb with all the equipment, great yoga techear and a beautiful view of the sea. We came for only two nights - would definitely stay for a longer stay!. Close to the beach, and specifically Anse Royal.

Every added service was pretty expensive (coffe, exta bed etc). The location is a bit different from what it says in the applications (waze/ google maps) - a bit further to the south.

great location if you are looking for a quiet place away from the busier places like anse royale or beau vallon. this means that a rental car is highly recommended, but I think no matter the location as the island has beautiful beaches worth to be explored. the structure is fairly new and comfortable with all you need. the bed was very comfortable. the staff was super friendly and helpful.

it’s a self catering structure but if you want a continental breakfast it can be arranged. the options are limited though, some local fruits which not always super tasty, breakfast cereals selection, bread, butter/jam, coffee/tea and juices. suggested to the management to add some boiled eggs in the future. Not related to the property but the nearby beach had shallow water levels which not great to swim.

the help staff was pleasent and did thier best to be helpful.

managment cheated us and offered an "upgrade" which ended up to be a downgrade, instead of a room with balcony and privacy we had no privacy at all. our patio was everyone's walkway. we wanted to leave, but the manger (from NY) instead of appologizing just said "not happy? go, leave. no repayment is promissed". we were stuck.

The amazing view of the ocean from the chalet. The well maintained and curated lawns and gardens along with the amazing fauna. The access to a restaurant with good food and an almost private beach. The relaxing and calming atmosphere. The hospitality of the host.

Proximity to the city centre(Victoria) was a hiccup. Isn't easy to get there unless we know the public transportation timings or have a rental vehicle at our disposal. Taxi can be quite expensive.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Exceptionally clean challets. Decent breakfast. Beautiful view. Buggy rides to and from challets.

Very last minute ( approx 5 hours before my flight) was informed that the hotel displayed wrong rates, which didn't include my 6 year old son. I had to top up €225 or forfeit the booking. Someone either the hotel or booking.com must take responsibility for this as the wrongly displayed rate is not my fault. That's the main reason I booked them anyway. I feel like I was trapped. I should be informed 1 or 2 days prior, not hours before my flight. I reach hotel 1030am ,for early check-in had to pay €115 which I didn't take on. Waited few hours for the nornal check-in time.

The superior apartment with one bedroom has an amazing view over palm trees onto the ocean. The veranda is huge and we sat there regularly while reading books, having a bite or simply enjoying the view. Only thing missing up there is another pool :-) The kitchen is well equipped with basically everything you need for self-catering. Supplies and food can be bought in one of the many little indian stores, the closest of which is not even 10min away (north) by car. There are several international TV-Programs available, as well as WiFi and all the elctronics perks you could wish for. The rain-shower was amazing too. The property is well maintained - everyday we saw gardeners and staff working and keeping everything up. Staff is very friendly, and helpful especially Michaela, whom we got to know a bit better during our 10 days there. If you don't want to cook yourself, there is a rastaurant right across the property (Surfers Beach) where you can eat local, but also "the usual" types of food (it is a bit pricy, though). There is a little take-away (Koko Zerm) 5min down the road (south) where we often got good-value food as well.

Conclusion up-front: no major issues If you have neighbours within your Chalet, prepare to take part in their holydays accoustically as well as in smelling their food when when they cook something - I guess this goes the other way round too, though. Mutual respect and consideration of of other guests are key :-) The location is kinda remote. Which is a good thing, it's very quiet down there. However, if you dont want to walk or ride on the local, very crowded busses, better bring a car. Breakfast, allthough very good and mostly fresh, is mostly vegan and therefore missing some variety. But the fruits (Banana, Papaya, Avocado, Coconuts, Mango, etc.) were enaugh for me anyway. The breakfast eating area is kinda small as well.
