"Weekend stay for game fair"

10.0

Just had a lovely couple of days away with husband. House is beautiful, a real old house with original cornicing and centre rose above lights but with more modern conveniences made to fit the ethos of the house. We were greeted on arrival by our hosts and shown to our room which overlooked the garden. Room was beautiful with a (very) large comfortable bed, couch, wardrobe, t.v., chest of drawers which held a hairdryer and hot water bottles should they be needed and also the tea/coffee making facilities-which included a selection of teas and coffees and also a bottle of water and hot chocolate along with a teapot. Bathroom was also very nice and spacious with a waterfall shower and plenty of hot water. My only suggestion to possibly better the room would be a draught excluder, or something along those lines, for the bottom of the door - not for draughts because there weren't any -but to help dull any noise coming from outside the room by other guests as the gap below the door is about an inch, or 2 or 3 cm, high but that is a small thing to criticise as overall, room was lovely. For breakfast there was a choice of yoghurt and fruit to start or cereal. For the main you could have a full cooked breakfast, or a selection of items from it, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or a daily special. We would both have preferred proper haggis with the breakfast rather than veggie, which neither of us liked and other than being rather slow service it was a really good stay.

"Loved it and would come back any time!"

It was a fantastic stay. I slept like a baby. The breakfast was a dream, Meg and Chris and Molly were all very welcoming and helpful. The garden is very large, it's also a great place to spend time when the weather is nice. Everything was super tiptop!

nothing!

"A spacious, comfortable stay that exceeded my expectations"

10.0

A spacious stay for a couple of nights with everything I needed including much needed coffee bags! I braved putting on the lovely wood burning stove too.

Nothing although leaving my uneaten pizza in the fridge was very embarrassing!

"A great place to stay!"

10.0

Chris and Meg were wonderful hosts. They made me feel welcome. The room was perfect for a single traveler. Cosy and comfortable. The shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. The shower at my previous lodging was rather chilly but not at Heathpark House. It was always perfect. The breakfasts were great with a variety of choices, including vegan sausage and bacon. The Wifi provided was fast. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Heathpark House. It's a terrific place to stay.

There was nothing at all negative to report.
