Apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, enjoyed it and would stay here again.

Location of apartment, although it is still within walking distance. It is at the top of a hill.

once in the flat, it was a good size with a comfortable lounge and nice kitchen.

we never normally leave reviews, however on this occasion felt it necessary. We usually stay at city hotels but decided on this occasion to go for a more independent option thinking it would be better for our needs. Arriving at our accommodation, we were greeted with a building that was so run down it looked almost uninhabitable from the outside. All paintwork was flaky and the front door to the block was so old and battered that it didn't actually close, leaving all occupants very exposed. The ground level and stairs leading up to the flat were cemented only and it was filthy. It clearly is like this all the time and not mid "refurb". Admittedly, once in the flat which (thank god) had a double door to the interior - we were relieved to see that the flat looked in good order and reflected the images seen on the booking site. On closer inspection, areas of the bathroom and kitchen had not been properly cleaned. I had to clean the toilet prior to use. The mattress of the double beds were so low resulting in a very uncomfortable sleep (however I would have let this one go if it wasn't for the other things). Our teenage children were even shocked and felt a little uneasy on arrival. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend anyone stay here until these issues are corrected. Whilst I appreciate the exterior and communal space might not be your responsibility, It's simply not inviting or okay to think that it's acceptable to charge guests £200 pn. whilst things are as they are. Such a shame given the interior of the flat is more than acceptable as an airbnb rental, but it was hard to see past the frontage and communial area.

Having parking on site was definitely a bonus, especially as the town was a walkable distance. Good extras included like a fully stocked kitchen with all utensils, Netflix and local information. Sofa bed in the living room was useful.

The exterior is not what was expected when seeing the photos of the interior. When we arrived, we thought we were at the wrong address as it is very run down. It wasnt as clean as expected, we found broken glass, crisps and dust on the living room floor plus dust on the headboard. As they charge quite a high cleaning fee, we did expect a fully cleaned apartment when we arrived. We did contact them to query this, however a discount was not offered only the 10% off for future bookings offered to all guests. The bathroom also needs an update, theres mould on the ceiling and around the plug hole and flaking paint. The mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable and the blinds didnt keep the light out so we were woken up early in the morning by the sun.

Inside the property was nice. It served the purpose No bells or whistles. It was nice and clean and that was it.

Curb appeal was poor. I sat in my car wondering if I was at the right place. The place might not be in an upscale neighborhood, which is fine, but I was literally nervous about entering the main front door.
