The location

We were very disappointed with our stay. The room did not match the description or the photos on Booking.com. As it was the busiest time of the year, finding an alternative was nearly impossible, so we decided to stay. The room was small, with a closet leading to a locked room. The shower had cold water, and we were only provided with one used toilet roll, which we had to request a replacement for. The room also had two tiny bars of soap, a hand towel, a TV, and two chairs. The bed was okay, but the bedding was awful. For a location in a cold, elevated area, they provided a thin polyester sheet that was wrinkled and un-ironed. We requested a cotton sheet instead, which was at least better, though still creased. Overall, it felt like we were staying in staff quarters rather than a proper guest room, and it was definitely not worth the money. The worst part of our experience was dealing with Morris, the onsite staff member. He portrayed himself as someone who wanted to help, but in reality, he was more interested in exploiting us for money. He offered to arrange activities for us at a lower price than local tour operators, but all he did was drive us to various places, making deals with the activity providers to get a cut. He told us that for $150 USD, he would spend the whole day with us, but it turned out to be less than five hours of his time. On top of that, he took us to a roadside vendor for jerk chicken, where we ended up paying triple the price—3000 Jamaican dollars for two servings. He claimed he would pay for his own meal, but he never did. We later learned that the actual price for the same meal was only 800 Jamaican dollars. Morris was also rude and disrespectful, especially towards my wife. During one of our trips, he insulted her during a personal discussion, pretending it was a joke, but it was clearly offensive.

The pool was in very poor condition very dirty was not what I excepted at all, Needs a professional cleaning…

Location and proximity to intended sites we wanted to visit

Fact that the 2 bedroom apartment we booked online was not really acceptable as it was dated and only had 'fans and not air conditioning. We were 'offered' 2 separate rooms with AC at an additional cost which we accepted, we paid our bill, but on the last night before checkout, we were unceremoniously informed we still 'owed' an ADDITIONAL $47000JA because "THEY" made a MISTAKE!?.... said the 57000 that i paid, was for only 1 room....wait....what!?.... How can that be?....I was substituted 2 rooms instead of the 2 bedroom apt I booked and paid the extra for AC! Extortionist and Scammer!! Shout out to Mr Morgan our Host as he clearly was an employee and was put to front to perpetrate the scam. He was calm and collected and was clearly uncomfortable coming forward with the BS.. This ruined/soured my first visit to this beautiful part of my island! I Will NEVERRRRR stay here again. You're better off paying a little more and staying in a 'proper hotel like Jamaica Palace 2 miles up the road....!!!

Location was amazing; within walking distance to the Blue Lagoon. There was a small pool at the facility that we did not have a chance to use on our 2-night stay but it looked clean. Maurice, the host who greeted us, was wonderful. We came in a bit late and were driving in the dark and he helped us find our way, since GPS took us a bit of a different route (note, they are on the main drag - you don't need to take the road that leads to Winnifred beach!). You need to expect BASIC accommodations for the price point here. It is clean but basic. Kitchenette was well stocked enough to make a meal. LOCATION and friendly, helpful host are everything here!

Don't expect a warm shower here. And don't think that it's uncommmon, either - we traveled around the island and had many cold or barely luke-warm showers. The shower head plugs into the wall, so I thought it was a heater. Tried to adjust while in the shower. DO NOT do this - I nearly curled my hair when I experienced a light jolt. All good, I lived to tell the story. Just don't make my same mistake.

The host was fabulous, very accommodating and attentive. He made our stay very memorable. Breakfast was to die for. Made by the host himself . Big up Maurice ❤️❤️❤️❤️
