強羅base A棟 - GORA Base A

Very well located in Hakone, next to public transportation and with easy access to the cable car. Getting there can be a little tricky at first, but if you follow the host’s instructions, you’ll be fine.

The emergency exit sign in the cabin stayed on all night, which made it difficult to sleep.

Very spacious. Clean sheets and beds. Great location. Provided oil, salt and pepper.

The location was fantastic, and the apartment was well equipped and clean.

Excellent location close to Gora station, only a 5-10 min walk from the station but be aware that it’s up a very steep hill next to the funicular railway. Modern, clean and lovely place. Comfortable futon beds. Open plan setup with beds and Japanese seating area. Would recommend!

Because it’s open plan you all have to go to sleep at the same time, not a problem but something to be aware of if you are travelling with younger children.

The accommodation was suitable for a family of 4, with plenty of space for everything, large size kitchen, laundry, smaller size bathroom. Location is only 5 minute walk from Gora station, and allows you to easily access all transportation across Hakone. Nice touch by the host with leaving water and sweets upon our arrival.

The access to the property could use a little more care, as it's not clearly indicated where the accommodation is, and is partially hidden between other buildings in the vicinity. Price for value was not bad, but may choose another location in the future that provides other services like onsen, as there are a lot of options in the area.
