What a find! Gaia House is a lovely, oasis of a hostel in a lovely, cobblestone & flowering balconies neighborhood. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We got to know them - and they got to know us - on a first name basis. Hugs at the door on the way out. I frequently overheard other travellers stopping in to see if they could cancel their other hostel in order to move to Gaia House (or to stay at Gaia House even longer). I see this as good evidence of how much people like and want to stay here. Keep in mind, Gaia House is located (slightly) up the hill in the San Blas neighborhood, so there will be a bit of walking up & down to get to/from Plaza de Armas (8-10min) - longer if you’re still adjusting to the altitude!
