Maui Banyan by Maui Rental Group

We've stayed at the Maui Banyan several times, but I wouldn't recommend this particular unit. Everything in this unit is dated. It looks like nothing has been updated since the 1980's. The AC has a drain to take the condensation away, but it doesn't work so the lanai is always covered in water. We couldn't use the lanai without walking in water. Also, the AC only works for a couple of hours and then freezes up, so it was very hot at night. The handle to open the lanai door is broken, so I had to open it for my wife. My son used the pull out bed in the living area, but there were no extra blankets for him. The knives had not been cleaned and there was lettuce on one and the next one we pulled out had hair on it. The sinks in the bathrooms did not drain well. I tried to close the pocket doors between the bedroom and the living area and could only close one easily. The other I really had to pull on and could hardly get it out. This unit is very worn and we would not stay here again. The unit did have good water pressure and a lot of hot water.

The location was great. Walkable to many places. The only negative was that the view was of the parking garage.

The place was excellent. There was a miscommunication on the description of the place by Expedia it was misleading. I thought it was a 2 bedroom condo with kitchen. It turned out it was a studio with kitchenette only. Refrigerator was broken but they replaced a new one on the 3rd day of our stay since it was the weekend, but all our food were spoiled. Luckily there was a cooler outside that we used while waiting for the new fridge. Over all the stay was great that’s why I always stay at Maui Banyan.

Well kept premises and convenient to the beach and restaurants

Location was perfect! We could easily walk to beach and restaurants. Condition of property were very good. Quiet neighbors and we did not hear a lot of traffic.

Quiet neighborhood and beautiful view of the beach from our 4th floor condo large balcony with a 3 level convenient parking structure nearby.

Loved the condo complex. Location marvelous, brief walk to beach with wide open long access. There is lifeguard stand nearby. Many restaurants walking distance. Loved 4th floor balcony view, some ocean, mountains, complex grounds. We had 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom, so nice to have 2nd bathroom for our stay. Condo came with beach towels we used, beach chairs, we did not use. We drove ALL over Maui and parking garage so nice to get organized for our daily excursions, and unpacking car at the end of each day. We loved our 6-night stay in Maui! Very nice pool & outdoor bbq facilities. We were gone from sunrise to sunset each day and did not use them, though.

We had a great time.

It is convenient, for a big group because it has kitchen, washer and dryer, and 2 baths. Just the dryer not work well. Also, is close to the beach, but when it rains we can’t swing there. We were most of the time in Lahaina because the beach by the condominium gets dark with the town dirt.
