Central Location - Riverside Gardens #1 by Tŷ SA

The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of the city centre and a slightly longer walk to the harbour. There were issues with the Wifi during our stay (an EE mast had gone down) but the host responded to all my messages very promptly and was very helpful, contacting EE to find out why we were having those problems

The initial log in details for the Wifi were incorrect and the router needed to be rebooted before use. This could have been communicated.

Cosy apartment, everything you needed in one place.

Everything was fine.

The kitchen/lounge was clean and tidy.

An external door off the bedroom leading to a disgustingly dirty vestibule/porch full of threatening letters to the previous tenants of the apartment I am staying in. There were 5 different people’s names on the post for this apartment. The door from the bedroom to this vestibule did not lock at all. The lock from to the vestibule to the street sort of locked with a thumblock. There was another door on this vestibule marked number 3 on it so any of the previous tenants or the person accessing ‘flat’ 3 could walk straight into your bedroom. I ended up putting the ironing board between the wall and the door to hopefully slow anyone down who entered or I would wake up from the noise. I also put a chair in front of my door! I had to take all of my IT equipment and valuables with me each time I left as it felt so unsafe. Wifi; does not work. There is a wifi system but it is not connected to the internet. Tried with various devices. I am used to connecting to wifi systems all over with my IT equipment, Firesticks etc. Rubbish; there were 2 overflowing rubbish bins right outside the window plus lots of other rubbish like a flat had been cleared out. There was also a large overgrown weed/bush immediately outside the windows.

Location was excellent, accommodation was clean and comfortable. Staff where helpful in facilitating parking permit, although this could have sorted prior to arrival via email.

WiFi (Which was through a mobile dongle), not functioning on arrival, and despite lots of faffing with it, and assistance from staff over the phone, it only worked for a short while and then stopped again. Poor ventilation in bedroom, which also afforded minimal privacy due door from bedroom going to a porch, which was also the entrance to a separate apartment. Poorly fitted flooring between Hall and bathroom.

great location for city centre and stadium, very good value for money . lady on the phone was most helpful around parking etc, I did like the quirky décor. great to have own cooking facility. Plenty if hot water and heating worked fine. I love cardif and enjoyed my stay

wasn't expecting the £200 deposit was sprung on me after I paid for the property! furniture and fittings are well used/broken. no baking trays for the oven. Wifi did not work (not an issue for me as such) even after rebooting. the area is a little rough around the edges and my car was broken into on the first night( not really the hosts fault and the police said there was a temp issue with local druggies)

On a hot day there is nothing to like.

This property is not accurately described. There are no windows in bedroom and only window in apartment opens onto bins and is very smelly. We could not stay here as it was hot and stuffy and no access to fresh air. The photos are colour saturated so not as it really looks. The agent looking after the property is dishonest and won’t return phone calls. Don’t trust this agent or property.

My daughter lives in Cardiff and the property was perfectly positioned to enable us to walk to and from her home.

There is nothing to dislike.
