Denali RV Park and Motel

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made everything easy. It is 10 minutes from Denali, quiet and peaceful.

The property was close to Denali and convenient. We stayed in the motel-room was clean but our shower was awful. We had a trickle of water and it was either burning hot or freezing cold. When I went to the desk, they said they would send maintenance who came when we were leaving and wanted us to leave our room open and unlocked, and said he would "tighten the shower knobs" but still no improvement. 2nd day the common area with coffee and tea was a mess, garbage strewn about (probably a guest problem instead of an owner issue). The motel is old and dated, the doors had common household knob locks (think bathroom locks). I wanted to go to the shower houses (you have to get tokens and a code for the door) but the office was open limited hours and we were away at the park during hours. no one answers the phone. The laundry facilities were also locked up and again, no one to answer the phones.

Pros-the room was clean, the beds were reasonably comfortable, easy parking, good location for Denali park access. Cons-walls were very thin and bathroom wall did not attach to ceiling so quite noisy, room entry directly off gathering area, again quite noisy, deadbolt on door was broken, no screen on window, so unable to open for fresh air, room very small. Overall, met our needs for Denali Park visit, but would not stay again.

40th Anniversary Alaska trip and really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable and tons of amenities like coffee, tea, gift shop, dog park, etc. Very friendly and helpful staff (Zusana and Billie) and easy access to Denali National Park. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here on any return trip to the area.

Our family of 5 had a great stay in the family cabin! Our 3 kids (ages 11-15) appreciated each having their own beds. This is not luxury, but it was very comfortable and met all of our needs. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and we appreciated having a full kitchen. There was even a Keurig machine with supplies provided. We also loved that there was a playground there. We needed to do laundry and that was convenient too, though a little pricey. The lady in the front office was very helpful with all of our questions and she provided change for the laundry machines. (Lots of quarters - $7 a load!) If you come in the summer I definitely recommend bringing eye masks for sleep. The cabin does have blackout curtains and they help a lot, but they’re not 100 percent and the kitchen window doesn’t have any. We rigged up a towel over that window to help. All in all, I would definitely recommend the cabins here and would stay here again! There is a great hike you can do from here up to the Antelope Ridge Trail. We did most of our grocery shopping in Anchorage before arriving, but there are also grocery stores in Healy if you need more. We had a good meal at Totem Cafe and Pub in Healy - WAY less crowded than other popular options in the area, and very good food. We also enjoyed the Cabin Nite Dinner Theater and the Tundra Wilderness Tour in the park. We had a great trip here!

The property is quite close to the entrance of Denali National Park so that was convenient. The room was about what you would expect at a motel/RV location - tiny and not very sound-proof, but the location made that worth it.

The room was very clean, nice towels/bedding and beds were comfortable. The staff were great. Dining in area was very limited but staff sent us to a very good local spot. The RV park is in a fairly isolated area but felt safe. The room was very small, there is no AC and the small TV allows only streaming your own content. There is coffee in the room which was good. A table top fan and fridge are provided.

Convenient to the park

Laundry services are expensive.
