Robin Hood Motel

The room was perfect for me. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, everything worked. The price was right. And it's hard to have a bad location in a town as small as Raton. This was within walking distance of Portillo's restaurant, which was also excellent.

If I had to quibble, I would take issue with the toilet paper and the kleenex. But you can walk a block to the Dollar General and buy something you like better.

The decor was tastefully done. Was clean

Easy to find near good eating options.

Air conditioning too loud. Could hear tv. Was awake too late because of the noise. Wasn’t rested.

It was the best shower I ever had in my life with phenomenal water power. I would have paid a masseuse to do the work that that shower head did on my back after a long drive.

That light outside the room is bright. We arrived later and only stayed a night so I focused on sleeping away from the window. The bed light is super bright too.

I stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised! It has a retro feel to it. A lot like 70s experience but a whole lot more comfortable. The bed was firm but had a nice pillowtop. The checking process was smooth and the owners are very nice. The room was spotless and in good repair. Better than many chains I stayed in. I would highly recommend for a budget motel.
