The Crazy Water Hotel

I'm a hotel designer by profession. The renovation of the rooms is very well done given the age of the original building. Rooms are generous, comfortable and well appointed. Finishes are well executed. Even the pocket doors in the bathroom were quiet. Public areas (lobby) are enormous and lots of fun. Complaints? Filthy windows. If you have sensitive hearing, avoid rooms facing Oak Ave. Musty smell in hallways but, given the age of the hotel, fairly non-intrusive. I'd go back. Charming staff.

The hotel lobby is vintage and amazing with the restaurants and shops and even a small museum. The downtown night life is just a short walk to bars and restaurants. There are wonderful shops and boutiques nearby. staff were nice and explained how to get to our floor. Our suite was very spacious and modern with a vintage feel. The mattress was very firm. But we enjoyed our stay.

Loved the feeling of this renovated hotel -- especially the lobby with the expansive marble floors, steps, columns -- a step back in time. We got a king suite, and it was very large with a kitchen, sitting area, large bathroom. We found the rooftop deck at about sundown and were blown away by the lovely view all around the area. The 7th floor rooftop is the highest point in town with the exception of the Baker Hotel a few blocks away. Sadly, we were there on a Sunday night, which made for a great value, but many of the restaurants and shops in town were closed, otherwise a great experience in Mineral Wells

Great service and friendly helpful staff. Definitely will be looking forward to coming back soon.

Room was clean and comfortable. Except for crickets.Tv was terrible cause couldn’t find out how to find channels. No ice machine anywhere except front desk. No information in room of things to do or where things were located in mineral Wells. The bathroom was nice but rods too high to reach to hang clothes up. Too expensive for what you experience!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at Crazy Water. There’s a reason we’ve been twice and will come back again. The first time was to celebrate my 64th birthday. I had driven through MW a couple of times, and loved the old Baker Hotel that is going through renovation. I was intrigued. I did a little research and found The Crazy Water hotel. We decided to give it a shot and could not have been more pleased! This is an outstanding place to spend a 2-4 day weekend with someone you love. This is our 12th anniversary and The Crazy Water was perfect. Quiet, good restaurant, charming shops and just downright relaxing. It’s only a couple of hours from DFW and easy to get to. I’m rooting for them ‘cause they’re working hard to get you to come see. I know we’ll be back! Check it out!

Hotel is great, beautiful. Only issue was crickets in the room. We killed at least 12 crickets all over the hotel room. Would stay here again, but I’d request a higher level floor to try and avoid crickets.

The rooftop view was AMAZING! We loved the ballroom and reception area upstairs. Very nice and classy. Great experience. Staff helpful and friendly. We woke up and had great affordable coffee. Ate breakfast in site at the restaurant. Even got to explore the little town and old buildings that were within walking distance. Highly recommend! We will definitely return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything was great, very pleasant place to stay. We were not impressed with the restaurant. Very over priced and trying to be too fancy. Nothing great on the menu.
