Beachcliff Hotel and Apartments

Very comfortable and clean was a bit strange we didn’t see anyone I do usually like a reception area

We've stayed at the Beachcliffe several times, twice this year and really like it. On this occasion I chose a seaview room with king size bed as usual but ended up on the 3rd floor with no view whatsoever plus being in the attic and a warm day the room was boiling hot. I complained and dealt with a very helpful lady at the company who manage the property who confirmed she would move us down to floor 2 with a seaview. This duly happened the next morning with the help of a member of the cleaning crew. However the room had a double not king size bed so not ideal but much better than the night before. This hotel mostly manages to get the basics right and cleanliness is spot on but they use third party sellers who sometimes mess up some of the easy stuff such as info on the lockbox at the gate as happened this time and the first time we used the hotel. Given there are no reception staff it's frustrating to have to engage with this and needs tightening up please !

This is our second stay at the Beach life and we have family locally so it suits us. It's in a great position with seaview rooms ,(if you choose) literally across the road. There are no food services but a couple of cafes close by and a bar and restaurant underneath which he we haven't used but There's he fish and chips bar is very good ! There is no reception at all and entrance is self service, picking up keys from the box using an access number which is fine the second time, bit confusing the first time we were there so be prepared and ensure you get your email with access codes. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the room worked well, good size bathroom and shower worked well, loyd of hot water.overall a very good stay in a great location

Amazing location. Room was immaculate. We were aware of what we were booking prior to arrival so were fully aware it was not a hotel. Will book again

I had very little confidence I would be able to get into my room as I was arriving late and the key locker wasn't explained well at all. I tried to make contact with hotel before stay and really had to be persistent to just get basic online liners, can I leave my case earlier - NO, will I be able to get into hotel - Yes. I think it was actually the most stressful trip I have ever had. I arrived about 9 and got my keys but could not find the apartment - signage was appalling and only because there was another guest who was trying to help me and a couple who were actually staying in the hotel did I make it into my room. I called the number but no answer. you should have an OOH emergency number. The room itself was very nice but I was so upset over thinking i would have to sleep in my car I really didn't enjoy it. My advice be clearer on how the key lock works - better directions on where the hotel rooms are and maybe don't assume because you work there, and you know it all that a guest would!
