Uluwatu Surf Shack

We came to Uluwatu precisely because of this house. Beautiful pictures, atmosphere like from Robinson Crusoe. The stay turned out to be a huge disappointment. The house was disgusting, we paid over 300 dollars for a night at Surf Shack and what we got was below any expectations. The house is dirty, it stinks of mold, on the bathroom floor are dirt and stones falling from the rock. The curtains are rotten and dirty. The toilet paper is moldy. There is no coffee machine in the kitchen but that's nothing compared to what we found in the kitchen while making breakfast - DEAD MOUSE rotting in the pan in the kitchen drawer. The bathroom door and the balcony door are very hard to open. In addition, access to the facility is difficult, certainly not for small children, from the main road there is a 20-minute walk, uphill thru many stairs. The access to the beach is between the balcony and the main entrance, which causes zero privacy. The house was very hot, no one cooled it down before our arrival. We also had to deal by ourselves with the non-functioning air conditioning in the attic. The bedding and pillows were dirty with stains. We were supposed to stay for 6 nights, we lasted ONE and asked booking for a full refund. We lost an entire day. I do not recommend this place, it is a shame to waste a beautiful holiday on this facility.
