Riad Louhou

Lovely, quiet location, yet very close to the busy streets of the Medina — an oasis in the city. The staff were very friendly. We especially enjoyed the rooftop; having breakfast up there was definitely a highlight.

The rooms are all decorated in a traditional Moroccan style, which is very charming. However, due to the design of the lighting, the room was a bit dim. Still, it creates a quiet and romantic ambiance, which we really appreciated.

The staff made our stay perfect. They are kind, attentive, friendly and welcoming. The Riad was lovely, small and personal. A real place of tranquility after a day out in hustle and bustle of marrakech. The breakfasts were very generous and superb as were the dinners. All local produce prepared in house. We stayed in a superior room which was spacious and well equipped with a very comfy bed. The roof top terrace and plunge pool were amazing and definitely a must when the temperatures are in the mid 30s to.40. We used the Riad airport transfer service which was efficient and quick and our host gave us plenty of local tips on where to go and whee not to go! We would definitely recommend Riad Louhou and would come back again.

Le personnel est d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, et le petit déjeuner, préparé maison, est un régal. La piscine sur le rooftop est un véritable plus, et les chambres sont impeccablement propres avec une bonne connexion Wi-Fi. En résumé, nous avons adoré cet endroit et nous reviendrons avec plaisir. »

We could write pages about our experience at Riad Louhou. However for the review it’s best to keep it brief and deal only with the facts. On arriving at the accommodation after a long journey, we discovered the following: The accommodation was under construction. The pool was closed for refurbishment and repair We were given different rooms to those we had booked (one a very small double.) We were offered a discount (which was only confirmed on the last night of our stay). We were also offered further compensation by means of use of a pool at another property. However this promise was not fulfilled. When we complained for a second time, the management and owner became rude, aggressive and threatening to our family (husband, wife and our two children) Marrakesh is a fun, exciting and vibrant city. However we would recommend exploring it from different accommodation.

La ubicación es muy buena, el personal muy agradable y el desayuno exquisito y abundante. Nos guardaron sin problema las maletas el ultimo día para poder visitar la ciudad sin problema.

Lo único que nos sorprendió es que las fotos de Booking no cuadraban con la habitación al llegar. Era más pequeña de lo que se veía en las fotos. En la reserva aparecía una zona con un sofá, que no estaba en la habitación. Aun así la habitación era amplia y el baño también. Fue mas la sorpresa inicial al ver la diferencia. Pero la habitación esta fenomenal.

I’m a little conflicted about this rating. The Riad is in a super convenient location, the decor was gorgeous, the owner/manger was really lovely. The breakfast was nicely presented and very tasty. Had it not been for quite a few hiccups (which had primarily to do with my specific room) I would have given a much higher rating.

I arranged a pick up from the station to avoid having to search for the property and thank goodness I did because it’s not in the location that google maps indicated. Pick up and driver were flawless, but you have to walk the last few minutes to the property, so someone from the hotel came to meet me. She didn’t talk to me, didn’t offer to help with my luggage and never checked whether I managed to keep up. Instead she just played around on her phone. I thought was a little rude. Then the real issue for me was noise. You hear every key turned, every door opened, every tab switched on. Worst of all my room was directly under the swimming pool so I had the incessant humming from the pumps and a strange squeaky sound every half hour that kept waking me up. They did turn off the pump at night, however that lead to the pool leaking into my room for a few hours, leading to a super annoying dripping noise and a soaking wet pillow on the other side of the bed. Unfortunately I did not think that’s ok at this price. Do I regret staying there: no. Would I stay there again: probably not.

Ondanks op website aangegeven was er geen dakterras, geen zwembad, geen ligbedden. De eigenaar van de Riad deed dit af als overmacht en bood geen enkele compensatie.

Tutto, pulizia, cura dei dettagli. Il personale è sempre gentile e accogliente, all’arrivo ci hanno offerto tè con pasticcini. Anche la colazione è ottima e abbondante.

El alojamiento se encuentra muy bien ubicado en la medina. Las habitaciones son muy tranquilas, están muy bien decoradas y súper limpias, y hay siempre una olor en el Riad buenísima. La cama es comodísima y el desayuno estupendo. El personal es encantador, muy hospitalarios, el trato fue de 10. Nos ha encantado alojarnos aquí

Heel mooi ingericht. Fantastisch ontbijt, vers gemaakt door zeer lief personeel.
