OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi - All Inclusive with Free Transfers

The hotel always accommodated us, since we arrive to the airport around 11am and they transferred us a bit earlier than check in time. For the check out, they let us continue using out all inclusive plans until boarding our transfer boar to the airport at 4.30pm. They really accommodate all our needs.

The open part in the water Vila

We stayed in the water villa and it was just gorgeous! The resort was great value for money with very comfortable, safe airport transfer, buffet breakfast lunch and dinner, drinks including alcohol, shuttle bus around the island, swimming pool with daily activities, evening entertainment and some water sports. It was clear that sustainability was a priority in the resort as there was very little single use products used. We felt so safe and welcomed as all the staff were so so lovely, often stopping to chat and check in . I couldn't recommend it enough!

We didn't like that we had to leave and go home😭

The 15-minute boat ride was nice, but if you get a room facing the wrong side, you will be looking at Male Airport and the island, losing the essence of the Maldives. The buffet was decent, but not the healthiest dishes - a limited salad bar. The property was very clean, and the room service was fast. The underwater restaurant was a plus, although most of the corals were dying or already dead.

Insufficient number of lifeguards, sharp edges in the pool, and lack of proper lighting inside and around the pool. Drinks were limited, and some were premade, so they didn't taste their best. The staff was "understanding "but not flexible with a payment dispute.

It was an amazing experience. I have never seen such helpful staff in the hotel industry like this before. I would like to specifically mention the people who helped me directly: Rasheed from Front Office, Vicky (the Executive Sous Chef), who was amazing and went above and beyond to arrange special things for my daughter, Hana from the studio, and finally Sona and Shehan from the bar.

Everything overall was excellent. There are only a few small areas for improvement, such as adding more options to the minibar, including juices for babies, candies, and biscuits. Also, the internet speed was quite slow and could be improved.
