The Horton Hotel and Rooftop Lounge

We stayed at the Horton for 3 nights. It’s a lovely hotel with a friendly and welcoming vibe. We loved the breakfast, rooftop seating area and the room was extremely comfortable. Highly recommend

Staff were very helpful. The young lady who served at the breakfast bar went out of her way to be nice as well as to give attentive service to us as well several other couples there while we were. Great job, and thank you!

We are just home from our second stay at the Horton and have already booked another. -The rooms are gorgeous, with comfortable beds and pillows and luxury appointments. Beautiful natural stone everywhere. -The staff are wonderful: Brianna the bartender, Cat the "breakfast wizard", and all the front desk and other staff. Personable, always up for good conversation, really committed to excellent service. -A parking lot in downtown Boone! With a back door leading to it! -Walking distance to Mast Store, Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, App State campus, logo shops, restaurants and breweries, and much more. -A rooftop bar with gorgeous views, also excellent just for sitting and sunning anytime. The indoor bar area is beautiful and comfortable as well. We have nothing but good things to say. It's a wonderful hotel and we feel welcomed like family there. HIGHLY recommended!

Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, wonderful rooftop. But they do not have an iron and ironing boards in each room. Of course, people do not returned after use, it gets returned when they leave. So you better ask for it as soon as you arrive if you like your clothes not to be wrinkle.

Rock hard bed. Dark windowless room We knew the room was windowless, but not that the bed was so uncomfortable. Husband compared it to a prison cell… at over $500 per night, it was criminal. Front desk just said they’d let management know, but didn’t seem to care. Beautiful rooftop. If you want to sleep, stay somewhere else.
