"Small hotel inside a restaurant/art gallery"

10.0

I stayed in the Zen room which was lovely and furnished with Indian and African antiques (I am still obsessed with the wardrobe. The hotel is in the back of an art gallery and open air restaurant (which closed relatively early on a Thursday night, so no noise issues). The gallery was gorgeous! The wifi was great and I could stream 1080p video. The room didn't have windows, but it had an amazing skylight column which lit a small garden. There were shades around the skylight, so I wasn't woken up in the morning. The mattress was comfortably plush (often Mexican hotels have rock hard mattresses, I was glad for the more American-style one). The art gallery was really great to view, and I loved the Chapultepec neighborhood. Only one of the staff really spoke english, but we made do until they could call him over! If this was in the US, with the amazing design and furnishings, I probably would have paid about four or five times as much.
