Great location, just a short walk to the center, and a great local coffee/chocolate place as well as a great seafood restaurant < 1-minute walking distance. The kitchen is decent and has a clean water dispenser. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff are very nice and thorough. The staff in general is very nice, patient, and helpful (they only speak Spanish but just use Google Translate of nothing else works)

The rooms are not sound isolated at all, you hear everything from the rooms around you and the streets, most nights it is not too bad, but yeah bring earplugs :) The staff is only available morning-early afternoon

Perfect location. Maximum 10 min walk to the center but located on a quiet road. Comfortable, big bed. Lovely terrace and a free to use kitchen with big fridge and drinkable water.

The room was big

The shower only had very little water and only crazy hot. We barely couldn't take a shower at all, we had to sit on the floor to not be grilled. We asked the staff but they didn't fix it. Without a shower it was not a good stay

The walls are a bit thin, so there can be noise from outside of the room. It wasn't so bad for the few nights we were there, but I guess that depends on who's in the room next to you.

Nothing but the location

What did I like? Pretty much nothing. One of the worst stays in my life. The room is small and outdated, wifi burly works, and there’s no hot water because the owner tries to save some money. The hostal’s owner is rude and intense and doesn’t accept credit card. Really poor customer service. We had booked a specific type of room but received a different one. A couple of weeks after this stay, I stayed in Oaxaca in a much nicer place for half the price. I highly recommend to shy away from this hostel.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. A late check-in was no problem and when we were in a hurry they even let us do the check out a bit later than 11:00. The room was spacious and clean. There was hot water, fresh towels and everything we needed. It was quiet, very easy to enter (by electronic code) and centraly located. I would definitely recommend to stay at casa soledad. Thanks.

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable but it was ok.

Comfortable stay, reasonable price, and easy to deal with.

All facilities were as described, easy to access and accommodating for a late check in.
