Camellia Rose Inn

It was amazing, and economically a good alternative to motels in the area. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the continental breakfast, while not extensive, was of higher quality than I usually have at hotels with complementary breakfasts. It was 2.2 miles from UF and convenient (walking distance) to restaurants and other attractions. The one shortcoming to the room I stayed in was that there was no closet, so I could not hang my clothes; still, I was able to make do. The room also had its own television, though I did not use it. This was my first time staying in Gainesville, and I would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed in many boutique hotels and b&B's. This one was far nicer than any of them. We've never stayed in Gainesville before, but now we will every time we go past. It was beautiful, comfortable, and most welcoming. Our room was excellent and even had a fireplace. There was a wonderful common sitting room with complementary wine and whiskey and even interesting books to read. The breakfast was the most diverse we have ever encountered in the states - and would even be great by European standards. It was also located a few blocks from the lovely downtown with it's array of nice restaurants.

Can’t be possible this place is a hotel. Is much better than be at home. Decorating smell comfort amenities can’t describe. From now this is my place in Gainsville

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast is more of a continental breakfast rather than a full breakfast as we've had at most bed and breakfast stays in the past. The home is cute and nestled into the historic bed and breakfast district of Gainesville. It was very clean. The key system is efficient. It's well organized, reasonably priced, and we'd stay there again. The room we were in, Brier Rose #23, was fairly small. For a two night stay, it was sufficient, but smaller than a typical hotel room. All in all, I'd give the Camelia Rose 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The Camellia Rose Inn was a lovely spot to catch up with friends and enjoy a restorative sleep. A few highlights include: Accommodating an early checkin to support a medical condition, which was greatly appreciated. Being a short walk from downtown, which was super convenient. Offering thoughtful amenities such as complimentary snacks and beverages, which were delightful. Creating peaceful spaces to enjoy the fall weather on both the upstairs and downstairs porches. Carefully updating the Inn to provide modern conveniences while maintaining its old Florida charm and character. Our sincerest gratitude to the owners and staff. We would absolutely stay with you again.

Camellia Rose Inn is an absolute gem. Gorgeous, immaculate, super comfy bed. Lovely wrap around front porch, beautiful grounds. Perfect continental breakfast. Can’t wait to stay again.

We felt right at home in the beautiful Camelia Rose. I was honestly so sad to leave it and vowed to stay again he next time we go through Gainesville. The breakfast was delicious and well-stocked. Our room was perfect, so clean and so comfy too! It was a real treat and I would highly recommend it to everyone, even if just for a couple of days. We loved the extra beautiful touches, like the robes. Can’t wait to go back there!
