Chalet Strickland

The loacation is great. The chalet is very spacious and has a HUGE dining table. We were two families with 5 kids total ages 4 to 9. There were lots of bedrooms, the beds were comfortable, the shared area was cosy. Loved the heating stove. The kitchen was nicely refusbished. The host was very responsive and brought us everything we needed very fast.

The bathroom/toilet situation was abysmal. You can tell it used to be a hostel with separate toilets for male and female. It felt like a public bathroom from the 80s with the stalls. We had to share a goldilocks like sink (3 for 10 people!). We had to go down 2 floors to shower in a freezing cold room. The oil heater felt very polluting. A couple of bedrooms were unusable as we couldn't close the doors. No storage space whatsoever in the rooms. No dishwasher! All the dishes had to be hand washed. We checked out a day early as we all hated the bathroom/toilets setup.

This is a lovely house, especially for a large group. Very well set out and comfortable. Could not find a better or more accommodating host.

The shower and bath rooms downstairs could have been warmer.

The house was clean, spacious, warm and comfortable. Best of all was our host Yuri who went above and beyond to help us in every way. We were very impressed with her!!

No complaints!

Lots of room for a big group

Chalet Strickland had everything we needed and was very spacious for our group of 11. Yuri was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after during our stay. We will be back!
