the location of Chalet Antoine is excellent — very close to the train station and convenient for accessing the village and the surroundings. The chalet itself is charming, the beds are comfortable, and the bedding was new and of good quality, which made the nights pleasant. I had also requested an extra blanket and an additional pillow, and the housekeeper who brought them to me was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I had specifically requested access to the spa, yet the staff were unhelpful and generally unfriendly throughout my stay. Considering it was their opening weekend, they could easily have informed me of the conditions beforehand. Instead, I was taken by surprise by the CHF 40 per person charge for half-day sauna access — a very high fee for the quality offered. My key card did not work for the indoor spa and pool area, and it took almost an hour before the staff finally provided a functioning card. Once inside, the indoor pool water was only lukewarm and not particularly pleasant. The outdoor pool was freezing and unusable, and the surrounding area was wet, slippery, and frankly dangerous. Next to it is a small outdoor sauna chalet, which was technically heated, but the warmth dissipated almost immediately. Cold air entered through the floor and structure, so although the sauna was switched on, it never reached a proper temperature and was largely ineffective. The changing room situation was also unacceptable. There were no curtains, no lockers, and the room was extremely small, making it very difficult to change with any privacy or store personal items safely. For a spa facility, this level of basic comfort is simply not acceptable. Finally, at the end of my stay, when I calmly explained all these issues and asked whether a gesture or partial refund could be considered, the director near the reception listened but offered no apology at all. His attitude felt dismissive and surprisingly arrogant, which further reinforced the overall negative impression. Overall, this was a very poor experience and far below the standards expected from an establishment in this price range.

Perfect chalet with views of the mountain range and in a great location. It’s a 4-minute walk from Zermatt station

We weren’t given any hotel amenities such as slippers, robes, dental kit or standard amenities.

Location was good, staff helpful.

No elevators, stairs were steep. Would be good if guests were informed that there are no elevator.
