Riad Sayeda Al Hora

This place is incredible. I have never stayed anywhere like it! We stayed in a superior suite. This should be your go to option it doesn't fall short of beautiful! We payed 247.00 euros for 2 nights in December 2022. The courtyard or foyer is stunning. Great high ceilings, mosaic style tiles layer the walls and a swimming pool for the summer or warmer days. We were greeted by Ahmed on our arrival with fresh Moroccan green tea. (A must try in Morocco!) We filled in some basic paperwork and were shown to our rooms. Ahmed organised a Sylvester menu dinner for New Year's Eve for us as celebration and it was wonderful. It gave us an in depth view of Morrocon culture and cuisine. Ahmed helped us in any possible way when we needed support or guidance during our stay and prior to arrival answering our many questions throughout. This place is run incredibly well and looks like a palace from the inside. The room we stayed in was like something from a fairy-tale. We hold this place in the highest regard. It's nothing short of spectacular.

Nothing it's perfect.

Ahmed is a great guy, he was very friendly. He arranged for a friend of ours to be picked up at the airport after midnight, which I appreciate. The riad is very beautiful and the bedroom was huge and had a balcony.

Although there's AC in the bedroom, it's not enough on colder days because the area is too big for the machine. The bathroom could be better -- there was only a shower curtain in our bathroom and my friend had no shower curtain at all, which is not good in the cold.

The rooms are huge, haven't had problems with noise as other reviews stated (maybe we just had a lucky room).

The swimming pool was not operational, there is no "Spa". For food in restaurant we had to wait for 2 hours! even though I messaged before coming if I should order beforehand and host said that I can order when we arrive. The pastries for breakfast are old and not tasty, not much variety in breakfast. The service personnel is quite slow, the transfer is overpriced (quoted 50 euros for airport, I booked online for 20). The restroom needs a refresh. Overall not very satisfied, especially for such price and compared to other riads that we stayed in Morocco.

Not the room I thought I booked , but it was nice with a nice size balcony and a beautiful traditional decorated room

The rooms are beautiful and spacious!! Love the decorations and small details. They had some incense burning when I entered the room. It was a nice touch. I truly loved it there!

Only a bit far from the medina but it's ok. It's a short walk

The Riad architeture is breathtaking and you have the feeling to be sleeping in a palace! It was very peaceful and charming. The room was big and the bed was super confortable. The location was also great and close to all the main atractions.

The services proposed could have been better, we were quite disappointed compared to the other Riads we stayed in Morroco: - The hamman, spa and sauna weren't working during our stay. The Riad didn't inform us in advance and it was very disappointing. When I spoke with the personnel regarding this issue they didn't even apologize. - The toilet in the room was smelling bad and the shower wasn't very clean. - One afternoon I came back to the Riad to rest and I had not find anything around to eat, and I asked the Riad if they had any sort of food to sell. They said no and didn't make ANY effort to help me. They could have offered fruits or made a sandwich with left overs from the breakfast. - We had dinner a the property and it took more then 1h30 for the food to arrive. We seated at 20h30 and we only ate at 22h. The food was good however it didn't justify the long waiting.

The Riad is beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful. We got sick while we were visiting and ended up spending a day in our rooms recuperating. Ahmed went to the local pharmacy to get meds for us and also cooked us a special dinner, which he brought up to our room. All the staff are very kind and thoughtful.

The shower in the suite we stayed in wasn't the greatest--it had a short shower curtain on two sides, so water leaked out on to the floor. Also the attachment that holds the shower handle to the wall was broken, so we had to hand-hold it. All in all not a big deal, but a better shower in that suite would be a fantastic improvement.

Pretty hotel in a perfect location. Very friendly host and nice breakfast.

Unfortunately you can hear everything from the lobby/courtyard in the room. A travelgroup that arrived late started having dinner at 9 pm with loud music and only turned it off after complaining at 11 pm and made it impossible to sleep. Also, the bathroom should be renovated again since it is very outdated/partly broken.
