Central 2-Bed Apt Sleeps 5 above Great Derry Pub

Good and clean location just above a pub. Two supermarkets within walking distance nearby, parking avaiulibilities jusst off the door along a one-way mayor street. Downton old Derry in a walking distance of about 20 minutes.

Having been given access to the apartment some hours earlier, then at 9.30pm the owner demanded in no uncertain terms for us to vacate. He accused us of cancelling our reservation and demanded we leave. We had NOT cancelled and could not understand there to be any issue on our part. Later it became apparent that unbeknown to us the owner had cancelled our reservation the day before our arrival. We were advised by others that he now had people booked to visit for a longer stay and had given them priority over our reservation.

Spent 2 nights up in Derry for both business and leisure. The apartment had a flexible check in time, plenty of parking nearby, friendly staff for key pick up/drop off and the location was ideal for our needs. The apartment itself was spacious and clean with solid WiFi - no issues! Overall, we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Thank you!

We knew this before we arrived (it's mentioned in the listing title!), but keep in mind that the apartment is above a bar. If you want to go to bed before midnight, then you'll probably need ear plugs!

A perfect location for our stay. The apartment is above The Glen Bar, which is a welcoming and friendly pub with great staff. A good selection of takeaway food establishments nearby on Clooney Terrace. Very easy to walk over to the city centre from the apartment. A comfortable and spacious apartment with everything that you could need. We really enjoyed staying there.

We were a party of three, having originally booked for two people. I tried to contact the mobile number given on your message but repeatedly was told that this was an invalid number. A number that I found for the bar on Google was also incorrect. I eventually found a number but it went to answerphone, so I left a message. I also sent an email. On being greeted at the apartment on arrival on the Thursday evening we were told that the answerphone message and email had not been seen, but it was noted that we were a party of three. Nothing further was said until the Sunday lunchtime when I was told that there would be an extra charge of £35 per night for the additional guest (£140 in total). I eventually agreed to pay a total of £100. On arriving back home I found another review of the apartment where the person staying said that they had originally booked for three guest but were a party of five and that the property owner did not charge them for the extra two guests. I cannot see that the size of my party made any difference to the costs incurred by the owner. In effect we were charge £100 for the supply of an extra towel. I am also unhappy that this policy has been applied inconsistently and I feel as if I have been had over. I am supplying this review in order to make future guests aware of this policy and to deal with this before arrival.

Excellent location for visiting Derry, Giant Causeway, Donegal and Belfast is only an hour away. Extremely comfortable and host was very accommodating.
